I got kit on sale at Lowes today for 149. It's super strong and light. Game changer! I've always used gas tools also. Brushless motor is mean! Only draw back I've seen is how long to charge battery. I need second one now. Very nice tool combo n was able to blow off debris when finished. Thanks alot Bud!

Appreciate it. I was surprised also. I wish the blower was a little stronger and the line for the weedwacker lasted longer. I might need to try a different type.

Thanks for creating this review. How is it doing after 3 yrs now ? I’m thinking between this combo at $150 vs ego 56v ($279). What’s worth the money for my 6k sq ft yard..

Thanks for the review. Saw it, bought it, my 13 year old daughter assembled it and I (the mom) used it. I've never used a trimmer and did a pretty good job edging my lawn. The blower is perfect for lawn trim cleanup. Both pieces are light weight.

I just bought the Kobalt 80 volt weed whacker, and boy does it work. Actually cuts bigger weeds than my gas powered weed whacker, and a LOT more convenient.
@SeanOzz5 жыл бұрын
that was the one i was debating getting. figured it would be a power house and the battery would work with the mower if needed. then i saw this one and for the price i had to try it. i seriously thought it would suck and i would return it and get the 80. it did the job and i kept it. the battery just barely last long enough to do the yard and blow the clippings.

I carry the Kobalt 24V 1/2" impact gun in my truck for swapping out tires so I was interested in sticking with this battery platform. I'm phasing out my B&D 18V system I've been using for almost 12 years . I have a very heavily landscaped 1/2 acre corner lot. While not completely impressed with the blower, it does look like it would be good for drying the bike.

I got this kit last week and it just didn’t work well enough for me. The trimmer kept stopping and no it wasn’t because the grass was super high. I’ve read online that these are hit or miss. Mine missed. I returned it... don’t know what to get at this point, for the price point I was hoping it would work out

@@SeanOzz With anything there can be batches of product from manufacturing that may have defective parts or assembly processes. If you've ever worked in a factory you understand the machines that make parts and products wear out and need service eventually. So if you end up with a product that passed QC and sold in stores within weeks of something failing in the manufacturing facility, it may have that hit and miss issue. Best thing to do is go to another store and better yet in another city far away to do the exchange and hope you get stock from a different batch. That does not solve everything if its a crappy product design but sounds like the brushless trimmer is decent long term!
@practicalguy9733 жыл бұрын
I should have also said it could be a one off issue and exchange at the same store from the same manufacturing batch could be fine also. The method I explained previously is just another level of ensuring you get a better product.

I took back the 20v max and traded it in for 60v flex brought it back ran it for about 2 hour and I was very impressed with it but the true test for it will be next week I have 4 batteries for it and 5 achers of weeds that are atleast 4ft tall lol

Not a bad little system for a small property, quite a bit of power out of that 24volt system. Blowers tend to crush batteries, trimmers are quite efficient.

Hi Sean. Over in the UK, a weed wacker is called a strimer. Which got me thinking 🤔, when does a weed wacker become a strimer and what are they called when in/over international waters? Maybe that's why you never see them in those in-flight magazines! 😏 On a side note: Leaf blowers must be in the same category as a vacuum cleaner. A vacuum cleaner is only great - when it sucks!
@SeanOzz5 жыл бұрын
Ha ha ha. Yeah. We call them strong trimmer. Weed wacker and a weed eater over here. The blowers only good if it blows. Ha ha love it.
