The reason the high output battery was dead a minute sooner than the standard one is because it is capable of delivering more amps per second and so naturally it will drain the battery quicker, but in the process give you higher temperatures.

That's cool that you buy prepping stuff. Those type of reviews would be great to watch.

About 400 Watts of heat according to your data; 27m20s on the 8Ah.

Really enjoy the channel and honest opinions. Glad to see Kobalt getting the spotlight on here too. I agree with you; $100 seems a little steep for the heat gun. Personally, I have some Metabo Hpt and Dewalt power tools, but honestly kinda want to sell the DeWalts and take the plunge into Kobalt based on price and performance.

Thanks man, that's kind of what I am doing, I really like the planer, and belt sander, and there 7 1/4 inch cordless dual bevel compound sliding miter size amazing.

I'm impressed at the run time of this Kobalt heat gun. $66 rite now with buy more save more and hackable. I've been thinking about getting one for drying drywall mud, which I rarely use. I just hate cords for any tool these days
