Just got one for free. I needed batteries for my 5 yr old drills and Lowe’s was running a sale. I got 2 batteries with charger pack for $149 and this came in free. Reg price was $169 (there was many tools to choose from, this was the highest priced one) Miami Lowe’s July 2023

I absolutely have to have the belt clip as I take that hammer drill up and down a ladder. I will also have an impact driver with me as I am drilling holes, throwing a concrete anchor in, and then screwing something down.

Nice video. Nice tool. It's a shame the weak link is the torque handle. The torque handle on the 1/2" drill is all metal. Why did they not do the same for the hammer drill? Barry

Why do you keep pushing the depth rod adjustment button thinking it releases the tension on the handle. It's a twist type friction adjustment.

Is it hard to get the ultimate output battery off the rotary hammer? I use the ultimate output with my drill and it is so hard to get off!

Comments 2 years ago yay! Probably won't help you now however Kobalt batteries and their tools are not very consistent. I love them I have a ton of them, but it is extremely common for the batteries to get stuck on the tools. It's very hit or miss.

It may do the work, but it does not look like a contractor grade tool. They have it priced like so as well. I’m not knocking it for aesthetics, I’m simply saying that when you’re up on a ladder and you’ve been drilling multiple holes, you’re gonna want to drop it to the ground sometimes. I know I used to slide mine down by the cord.

The quality of the depth stop mechanism is a major shortcoming, I have had to wrap my bits with tape at the correct depth because I don't trust the depth stop to hold correctly.

@@OnTheWorkbench imma tell you another stopping mechanism we used to use. A solo cup. Keeps the dust out of your face. I don’t know if you’re already aware of it, but I was surprised how much of the dust actually winds up in the cup.

Why would u leave it on drill only??? Would you use a regular drill to take of lug nuts or get an impact driver/wrench?? That was foolish to not make it hammer

There isnt a "xtr" battery. There is a high Output battery that comes with many of the xtr tools. That's what's he using.

The battery gauge does not show 25% per bar. With 3 bars showing, your charge level is between 60% & 80%. Just fyi so you can include more accurate information for your viewers. 👍👍
