I use this tool to tighten the terminations in a meter can and main lugs in electrical panels. It makes process quick, safe and same torque every time. I use a 1000v rated isolation adapter to not energize me or the tool!

Great video. I’m new to this wrench. Bought in yard sale with no manual… can you tell me best speed to use? Also what is the screw button for?

This tool was basically am impact driver that Kobalt changed a part to make into an impact wrench l, hence the screw mode. As for speeds it depends on if you are worried about tightening something too tight otherwise running it at max speed and feather the trigger.

What is the benefit of this over the impact driver? Seems you need this or the driver, but not both

The 1/4 to 1/2" adapters typically start to break just above150+ foot-lbs give or take. This saves that adapter (and torque loss), but they do open up the impact driver to also being an impact wrench.

I really hope Kobalt revamps more of these tools like they did the oscillating multitool. The tools work well, but the designs feel dated at this point.

This tool has an updated model, but it’s a stubby. Upgraded the torque to 275 foot pounds switched from the manual left right middle switch to a blister button that sets it from low torque mid torque and maximum torque. Also has an auto slow and a wrench tight mode Works with the two amp power batteries, four amp power, extended run and ultimate output batteries, as well as the eight amp battery.
