its insane hes timeless and tenacious footballer . in the next 12 months he will become recognized as a top mf his impact cant be overstated. need a backup to allow him rest hes essential to future and with wb's the 343. a vitinha, baleba, joao neves like partner would allow him to shine like a makelele. mainoo is amazing in 3-4 years he will be perfect hes too young to have that endurance and lean build to run all day but hes gaining so much fitness just from playing in 343 and its demands.

those two are class ahead...the way bruno talks of ugarte its rare..hes wanted a teammate like that his whole career club or country . joao palinha is an oak but cant get around like ugarte. ugarte will get world recognition under amorim hes prototype mf for 343 and is so solid its rodri type impact. losing him is more influential to us than any cb. shades of gattuso, vidal, kante, makelele if he had a vitinha, joao neves, baleba type partner same engine but ball circulator ....people will see massive advantage of 343. need wb's and 2 box to box ball winning 8's. he needs help though because he has one speed and we will be a ghost of team w/o him.

In this system, he don't need to be that fast. With the wingbacks and the 2 guys behind the 9, he just need to be strong, clear with the ball, have the stamina and, when he have the chance, trying to make the goals.

Don't get me wrong, mainoo is a very decent player who have a lot of potential. But there are times where he can be a bit frustrating to watch. I really hope he could improve on his weaknesses. For instance, he could try to be expressive and be bold with his forward passes. He could also work on his speed and agility to really dominate as a midfield duo.

Exactly my sentiments. Mainoo was outstanding in his early games, he slipped in mediocrity, too many passed going back to defence. Very frustrating to watch. He has grown physically, stronger now. He did very well in this Liverpool game, so did the rest of the team, all stepped up. He has potential though, so hope he continues to grow and stop believing all the hypes by the English fans. Put his head down and work hard. Stay focused in football and not get distracted by the limelights and the trappings of good life.

Yall forget that mainoo just came back from an injury not so long ago. His dip in form stems from there rather than from the hype. He's still getting he's form back and is certainly showing good progress. He's also still adapting to the new managers new style of play, but I believe once he and Ugarte start more games together they're gonna be a formidable duo. Best believe, we've seen many a times what he can do, he's carried us for a long time under Ten Hag being the only stand out player. Surely we can't write him off, all he needs is time. And so do we!!

Rubbish. Urgarte was excellent , Mainoo had moments but was subbed after 70 mins. He was subbed because he lacks the physicality and pace to get around the pitch. Mainoo just cannot deal with Gravenberch's power and skill over 90mins..
