This is going to be weird, I know. But from person experience, how was it being around him? Just watching this from afar, I am so moved by how difficult and challenging his life must be in comparison to most, but am torn when I realize we all have our own struggles and that no one wants to be treated different. Did you feel he genuinely wanted to be treated the same? If so, did you find that people actually treated him the way they treated everyone else or was it all a facade? Sorry if these are weird questions, I’m just genuinely interested in a third party’s perspective, not being him but being around him, the atmosphere.
@icu5364 жыл бұрын
Saif B. To be honest. Being around him was kind of unsettling as a young teenager with little to no real work ethic. Like why is he working so hard in practice? Now coach is going to try and get us to match his intensity. He didn’t have an off button so it was good for the team. Nobody treated him differently. He joked and laughed just like everyone else. If there’s one thing I’d say is that he expected more out of the people around him because that’s the standard he held himself to.

I'm surprised Kobe didn't communicate with sign language. I mean, he learned to speak 3 other languages fluently. He became one of the greatest basketball players of all time, he won an Oscar, all by the time he was 40. It's sad that it took this man's death for me to realize what a wonderful and inspiring human being he was/is and just how much he means to people all over the world. Such a tragic loss.
