Exactly how I feel... Coverage of his personality and beautiful soul before his passing was so understated. I had no idea that this whole time THE Kobe Bryant who was so worshipped by a bunch of die-hard basketball fans...was actually apart from that a real gem of a human-being! In fact I feel like they made it easy for non-sports fans to assume he was just another brainless, dull, conceited jock. The media didn't do him, nor his charm, any justice at all until he passed. I wouldn't know if sports media did--I never followed sports.

@notthefather3919
@notthefather3919 4 жыл бұрын
@Nani Wattz that maked absolutely no sense whatsoever. How could her family force him to do anything? It is well known that Kobe's father did not want him to marry Vanessa because she wasn't black, they were young, and Kobe didn't make her sign a prenup. They sold his high school memorabilia to profiit off him, did not attend his wedding and did not meet any of his children. So what is he supposed to do? Choose his parents over his wife? Uhh, no. That isn't how life works and the fact that they acted the way they did because they were unhappy with his choices was a rejection of him and he moved on with his life with the family he created. People like you, who wanted him to dump his wife for his parents have life messed up. Toxic parenting doesn't have to be tolerated by anybody.
@notthefather3919
@notthefather3919 4 жыл бұрын
@Nani Wattz no it isn't deeper than that. What you're trying to do is villanize Vanessa's family because Kobe's family rejected Vanessa and they, being a poor hispanic family embraced Kobe. Sounds like a bunch of unsubstantiated claims. Kobe had his choice of any woman he wanted. How could anyone pressure him to marry someone if he didn't want to? They remained married until he died, with 4 children who were happy and well rounded. So who in this scenario is wrong? Rejecting your childs spouse because of their race is wrong and you can't make that less wrong by claiming her mother pressured him. Exploring your son's legacy by selling his memorabilia is wrong. No matter how you slice. And no, nobody has to take care of their parents no matter what. Kobe refused to buy into that slavish mentality and that is why he did not have anything to do with his parents because that toxic mentality would've destroyed him and he doesn't have to sacrifice his happiness because his parents wont accept his choices. No parents are supposed to love their kids regardless of the choices they make and aren't supposed to control what they do as adults. Kobe also knew that tossing money at people when they ask wasn't the right thing either. But you're judging him with this toxic mentality that black folks love to toss around and wonder why there's so much dysfunction. His parents did not accept his wife and they missed out. Thats their fault. There's nothing deeper. They didn't like his choices because they were money hungry and it cost them years of their son's life.
@notthefather3919
@notthefather3919 4 жыл бұрын
@Nani Wattz they were toxic. I don't care what you say. They were and it shows when they sold his high school memorabilia. Exploiting his fame for their own personal gain. You can want the best for your adult children but when you do what they did because they dont choose the way you wanted them to, then you are trying to control them and not support them and let them make their own choices. They were extremely toxic and he had his own mind and wasn't going to let them or anybody else make choices for him. They didnt want the best for him, they wanted the best for THEM. What's best for him was what made them happy, not what makes them happy. They were very toxic because they wanted him to live by their rules, as an adult. You wouldn't be saying this if Kobe and his parents were white and Vanessa was black.

@@ceeceer8886 He wasn't only talkative, but Kelly let him open his soul up. This was definitely one of the best interviews he's had. Thank you for this, Kelly! Don't mind the hateful comments. Do you! Just be yourself. Always.

Ms Kelly, I saw this not long ago and just had to come back to this today and I want Express how deeply sorry I am , to you and Kelly Clarkson Staff for the loss of Koby Bryant, I get the sense that you not only have people as “ guests “ on your show but truly welcome them in as friends and family, it’s what makes your show as meaningful as it is and makes this a true loss for you all. My heart also goes out to the Bryant family, you all will be in my prayers.

I just watched this about a week ago on my TV. (I recorded it but just was catching up with episodes.) Sadly, Kelly had probably one of the last interviews Kobe did. You can see that he was very comfortable with Kelly and she with him. There was a nice rapport between them. What a beautiful last public memory of him. RIP Kobe.

i love that he knows his daughter's astronomical sign. Some dudes don't even remember their child's birthdate let alone their signs. Goes to shows how invested he is in his family. Too soon, man. Too soon. I'm also a taurus btw lol. And based on Astrology, Virgo is the best partner for Taurus in any relationship because they balance each other and they relate to each ither as well. If that is true, that maybe one of the reasons him and Gigi vibed so much. So sad we won't see that bond grow in years. Rest in Peace Kobe and Gigi and all the seven people.

@@bathedindoubt6962 nah. Kelly, generally speaking, makes people much more uncomfortable because she'll ask them a question, answer it for them, and then cut them off while they do have their microscopic chance to speak. Kobe is just the man and is always at ease no matter where he is or what he's doing. KC had literally nothing to do with how he behaved on her show
