The box score shows how everyone stepped up. Both teams were at another level. That’s why Collins, Coach K, and so many other players and legends call Kobe’s 4th the best in Olympic history. In a game with the very best players in the world playing elite basketball, when it got tight down the stretch, Kobe took it to a level above them all. He had a bucket, or assist, or defensive stop on virtually every single series over last several minutes. He was unreal.

Love this as a Kobe fan, and love the new documentary on Netflix. People don’t really appreciate how good this team was as a real “team” rather than being a collection of stars.
