To reach a certain level of success in any field that you're in, You have to have an ego that's gonna say "I wanna be the best". This is what's gonna drive me when it becomes hell or high water. You'll say "This needs to get done . I need to be successful". - Kobe Bryant

Facts about my hero, Kobe Bryant. 1. He lives and breathes basketball. 2. His competitive drive is his most powerful skill. 3. Hate fuels his game. 4. He wanted to be the best, knew it was a stretch, became LARGER than just being the "best". He became an icon, an inspiration, a legend. 5. He proved that having a mindset where you always try to be better than who you were yesterday will ALWAYS lead to success no matter the obstacle. Thank you for everything, Kobe (Thanks for this video appreciate it)

The media hated Kobe and tried to downplay his historic performances. So much in fact they awarded Steve Nash back to back MVPs while Kobe led terrible teams to the playoffs on 35 and 32 ppg those same two years. Regardless there is no denying that Kobe was one of the, if not the most skilled player to ever play this game. He may not have the most MVPs, or the most scoring titles, or Finals MVPs but my rod he passes the EYE test. More so than all but one of the 11 players the almighty ESPN ranked in front of him. The fact of the matter is if Kobe had gotten the acknowledgement and respect he deserved he'd be universally recognized as a top 3 all time basketball player.
@yonisgure73488 жыл бұрын
LeBron could've easily won one of those MVPs too. He Lead a piss poor Cavs team in 06 to a 50-32 record while avg 31/7/6. Could've gone to Shaq in 05 too or maybe even Gilbert Arenas. Nash was an all time great player, don't get me wrong, but he didn't deserve those MVPs. I mean, Jason Kidd in his prime was a much better point guard than Nash and he never won MVP and his Nets team went to the finals back-to-back years.

I’m 25 and I’ve been playing basketball since I was 16 . Learned everything I know just from plying streetball and watching my fav players like Iverson , Kobe , Mike and wade . Never played highschool , never played for a real organized basketball league before and I tried out for my college and I did not make the team because I am only 5’9 . All the work I have put in to get to this point in my life was shot down because a coach at a community college doesn’t think I am good enough or tall enough to play . Not making the team hurt like hell but I’ve never been more motivated in my life to become the best basketball player I can be . I swear I will play college ball one day I will make the team next year I will never give up my dream of playing on a real team . Kobe Bryant is who motivates me to keep going , that coach will regret cutting me , he will regret doubting me because I am going to work my ass off. I won’t ever stop playing basketball it is my passion and I know I am good enough to be on a team despite being short .

Words can hardly even express how I feel right now. Kobe you were more than a basketball player but an inspiration and an icon. Your work ethic transcends more than just the game of basketball, it is a way of life. The mamba mentality can be applied to anything such as the arts, business, and even working at McDonalds. It’s the mentality that I’m gonna be the best at what I do no matter what it takes. Kobe you were the embodiment of that. You were constantly the first one to practice and the last to leave. You were the one up early when everyone was sleeping and the last one awake when everyone was hitting the bed again. Thank you Kobe for inspiring me and so many others to achieve that type of greatness in life. The type of greatness that is only achievable through hard work, dedication, and passion to your craft. Kobe is perhaps the Ayrton Senna of the NBA: they both spoke of going beyond their bodies' limitations, of training, of details, of habits of mind, of seeking weaknesses and eradicating them through training. And they were both gone far, far too soon.

The will to win isn't enough it's about having the will to keep winning that matters .. what makes you great isn't how many moment's you have but what you do with them when you have them.
