Kobe was such a rare breed. I can't even think of great player that was a basketball nerd to the level of Kobe. That's one thing I loved about him, his passion and commitment to the game was unparalleled. I don't think anyone has or ever will reach this level of work ethic, commitment and discipline. It's extremely difficult to find, even outside of basketball. Kobe was my hero and influenced my approach to life. Now you can rest Mamba. I'll miss you ❤️

Kobe always had the will to learn. He was never content. From basketball to language. He was born with a good amount of smarts but the drive he had was unmatched. The greatest of my generation. Rest easy KOBE!
I have an interview tomorrow...listening to his encouraging words 🙏🏼💪🏼 R.i.p Kobe ❤️

I still haven't heard any NBA players from today talk like this about basketball. So into the game he was, he really is my generations Michael Jordan. He was so competitive and fixated on the game, it's just so inspirational. It's sad I couldn't go to a game when he was in his absolute prime. This guy is the 2nd G.O.A.T

Man what an incredible privilege to coach a player like Kobe... You get a 2nd head coach that has 100% control over the locker room to the point where the coach rarely has to 'enforce' and gets to always play 'good cop', crazy smart but hungry to learn more... I mean, I could go on and on.. he changes the entire job description for a coach - makes the job far more easier. Kobe and MJ enforced everything on court and in practice, which allowed Phil to focus on group cohesion, balancing his other 'head coaches' intensity, and planning for championships. Always been 2 head coaches on Phil's championship teams.

My Top 10 of all time in no particular order. . . Michael, Magic, Larry, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem, Oscar, Kareem, Duncan and of course Kobe. I think in the near future I think LeBron is gonna be on the list but I don't know who's the one to remove. Honorable Mention: Shaq
@pabloescobariii35558 жыл бұрын
Oscar or Duncan
@t.wilson62707 жыл бұрын
its easy to remove Larry bird And put Lebron over him since he's already surpassed him for the top wing player. all around best player
@ShifuCareaga7 жыл бұрын
replace Duncan with Dr. J and we are in agreement.
@KrazieSevin6 жыл бұрын
Bill Russell probably comes off the list for me, for Lebron, can't take Bird off the list just yet, I'd take Duncan off before Bird, and no one saw Wilt play, we're just going with stats only, so I'd take him off before I take Bird's name off that list.

Phil is One of the Greatest Coaches of all time, but I would Say he was a Little Overrated at Times. Look who he had, Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Kobe, Shaq, Gasol etc. I could have Coached the Bulls and Lakers and still Won.
@dlakerguy7 жыл бұрын
All those players were on the Bulls before Phil got there and they never won until Phil was the coach. All those Lakers were there before Phil got there and they never won until Phil was the coach. Pretty sure he made a difference that you couldn't have made.
