What about Magic Johnson??? Nash is my favourite player of all time but Johnson had 42 15 7 in the sixth game of the finals without Kareem, carrying the whole team as a rookie and playing through every position at least once. And yeah, Nash probably would have won a chip if not for the injuries of his teammates and the bad referring, but even then he still wouldn't have reached the level of Magic in skill, leadership and mentality. You could make a great case about their passing though.

He is definitely a joy to watch every time, look how he improve this team and people say he do not deserve that MVP. If you talk about basketball, point guards topic, Nash should be in the conversation for sure.

And people act like Curry is "something they never seen before" if was Nash just a tad more selfish(he never was), there's no telling how many shooting records he'd hold. His best teammate was always Amare', imagine Nash if he had Durant, Klay, and Dray.....

The sad story that why Mark Cuban not continue the contract with Steve Nash, He said he wanted to retire in Dallas Mavericks but he doesn't give him a chance. Imagine that If Steve Nash had played 4-5 years more with Dirk Nowitzki, The Dallas Mavericks has won 2 or 3 champions together. so sad

As a die hard mavs fan, I can say we would have never won a ring with Nash as the point. We would have always been a "contender" but when we became REAL contenders, it was when Tyson and Kidd came. Kidd brought an entirely different approach..one that basically filled all the holes we had. He could play defense (guarded Bron in the finals at times something Nash would have never done) rebounded and still passed at a good clip. We became a championship squad when we stopped trying to just score, and started to do the other things. There is a reason we made two finals without Nash, and none with.

Steve nash was steph before steph. He wasnt focused on shooting that much, but that guy was walking bucket. Mid range, three ball. He was floor general on top of that. If he had been more selfish he would have been more noticable nowadays

Good thing they got Harris, a great very quick tenacious defender that could guard guys like Nash and Parker, he was huge in them getting over the hump and getting to the finals in 2006 the following year. Nash was doing whatever the hell he wanted, some of those open shots in the 4th were preposterous, no one could stay with him.

I’ve been binge watching the Linsanity vids lately; it’s interesting to see this after watching those. Nash is the WAY better shooter and passer, but Lin is much quicker. In the end, both were entertaining and ran the D’Antoni offense well.
