Performing 500 hours service on my Kobelco SK17 before excavating season starts.
And I also weld on some D-rings for easier securing to the trailer.

What keeps the turret from turning while going down the road? I don't think you have enough weight on the tounge(hitch). It will fish tai if notl ...... at least 25%

The turret is locked by a pin and by the hydraulic. 25% will be to much toungeweight, most cars are only allowed to have 60kg/132pounds weight on the hook, my Pajero is allowed to have 150kg/330 pound, but I rent the machine out so it is many different cars, I measured it to 50kg/110pounds on the hitch with this setup and it towes very nice. 25% toungeweight will with this setup be 550kg/1212pounds total weight with trailer is 2200kg/4850pounds

Hey, I have some more questions regarding your excavators, as I plan to get one more excavator. For me, only relevant machines are those, that i can pull with a normal car (max. 2.8ton machine weight). As you have a 1,7 ton ans also 2,5 ton; Is there a big difference in usability? does the extra weight and range of the 2,5 profit you in relation to the more cost? If you only could have one of them, would it be 1,7 or 2,5? How comes you choose a Kobelco machine (in DE its not a that popular brand, also only few vendors compared to e.g. Kubota) How much % is the price difference to famous brands (kubota, yanmar, ...) Is it a reliable machine? Is there a build quality difference to terex e.g.? Would you buy it again? Sorry for the many questions :D

Hi, if I had to choose one of them it's the 2,5 terex every day, the reach has a lot to say but the power is double. The kobelco has an 65 liters digging bucket the terex has an 150 liters. So you are twice as productive with that size machine. For brands, you can see that I have 4 different excavators, I look for the good deal not the brand when I buy used machines. I'm happy with all 4,the terex is awsome a lot of power and good ergonomics, kubota is great quality, nothing wrong with any of them.

Hi it's a nice machine, good controls and good quality. I don't like that I need a bit of rpm on the engine for it to function right, my other machines can have low rpm and still operate smooth, not this one. I don't like that it's glass all the way out to the corners on the cab, we just had it fall against a house gently, the ground gave away, the corner hit and 2 windows broke. But all in all I got about 1500 hours on it since I bought it and it's holding up good 😊

@@MiniMachines1 Thanks for opinion, kobelco use more diesel than other machines? Are you repair something in this machine? If you can, are you buy second time?

No it dosen't use more but it needs more throttle to run smooth so in the end it uses more. No repairs so far.

Does the cab tilt for servicing?

No you need to loosen some bolts to lift it off. So it's some work.
