Love the opening music as you disassemble the machine. Just need Hayde singing along. Love their music. Excellent Norwegian Blue grass. Great job by the way. Thanks

Yes it was a nice tune, I don't remember the artist, I use a website where I buy licensed music so I have some for my channel. Thanks 😊

Solderweld makes an Aluminum Repair Kit that we use in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry. We use them to Repair Micro Channel Condenser Coils which operate and hundreds of PSI. Should work well for your radiator which is well under those pressures. If it where to happen again that is. Either way nice Job👍

I was around town searching for something that could solder aluminium but there was nothing to find in this town 😔

those bushings came out so easy due to good maintenance for sure. with no grease they would distort and make it difficult to remove

Yes I've changed some before that I needed to weld to get out

I only tried pressure washing a radiator one time. Luckily it was on a parts car as the force of the pressure washer folded all the aluminum zig zags over by the large and would have cut off the air flow and cooling substantially. I was washing the rest of the car and did not really think about the radiator just giving it a once over. Lesson learned. Some of the heavy duty commercial styles are built with heavier gauge fins and will hold up better.

Yes that's a good possibility that it will happened, luckily this one hold up just great, but that wasn't the problem with it on the end...

You got really lucky with those bushings, I thought you would have to press some of them out. Keep the old rad for a spare, just cut the tube in half where it is leaking and roll back the ends a couple of times and pinch with vise-grips. This should stop the tube from leaking and still have enough cooling from the rad. That mini is going to be like new when you are finished. Good job!

Yes those bushings was a dream to get out. Yes that might had worked here also, I had it fixed with some leak stop stuff earlier but now it had started to leak again.

Don't give up on the rad. Cut the one channel ths is leaking and fold both ends back on it's self. . Build a form around the two bent ends. Fill the cavity with jb weld so both ends are incased it the epoxy material. This will fix the rad.

great work! you made that look easy! guess i really should do the same on my kubota
@MiniMachines12 жыл бұрын
It was actually a really nice job, and the machine is not to recognize now, so it's recommended

Pity about the rad. A friend of mine used fibre glass to seal a hole in a rad before. I didn't believe it would work but there were no problems after. Chemical metal or the likes might of done too. It's all a gamble though 😄

Yes I thought about it and I had it fixed before with some leak stop but now it was leaking again. I could probably gotten it fixed soon how but I also wanted to do it right since I put so much work and money into this little one now.

I have repaired a radiator before by removing the entire damaged water tube and plug it off where it connects at each end.
@MiniMachines12 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about that, but was a bit of job to get the ends of so figured out a new one was better.

Very good contents on the video i like the repair work, one thing that would make it better is if the camera would be in a tripod more often. I know its hard to film and do the work, keep up the good work.
@MiniMachines12 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes I saw it in edit that the camera work was terrible 😔 Will for sure try to do it better in the future, actually bought A new tripod after this so 😊

No radiator repair shops where you live?

No, and labor is so expensive here in Norway that most of the time a new one is cheaper
