Great Video. I am missing the main screw to hold the cover plate to the bracket. What size and length is it?

You should reach out to the manufacturer for a replacement.

❤Thanks did you notice the light connection are not locked into the base plate. Did it concern you that there was no screwed into connectors. So if it was loose corrosion could get in there and disconnect it? I've never seen a light fixture like this surprised Intertek approved it they are very strict! Thankyou again any problems with this kinda crazy installation?
@GalippsGadgets5 ай бұрын
It is different than usual - kind of a “plug and play” connection. I’ve honestly had no issues so far - if you’re worried about corrosion you could always seal up the connection with some dielectric grease.

You have the motion sensor above the lights where the instructions specifically say that the motion sensor must be below the lights per page five of the instructions
@GalippsGadgets Жыл бұрын
Literally on the exact same page, it shows the sensor above the lights when mounting on the eave… 👀cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0014/1534/8284/files/user-manual-koda-motion-activated-led-security-floodlight-lm030022.pdf?v=1597703315

Good description and demonstration. How do you find the range on this Koda unit? Most motion sensors that I've had claim "up to" 70 feet range, but live up to much less. What is your sense of the range activation?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
We have mounted our unit directly over our walkway, with the sensors pointed down the driveway - it also has a 70-foot range, but it feels more like 40-50 in our application.

what color temperature are these lights? also do they have as much throw as a traditional outdoor bulb? Thanks!
@GalippsGadgets3 жыл бұрын
They are like daylight, very bright white. I’d say they’re about average in terms of distance.

Is there any way ti tighten the sensor as ours will not stay put keeps tilting to the ground ?
@GalippsGadgets Жыл бұрын
Should be tight enough on its own - might have a faulty unit.

I bought this one at CostCo - I highly suggest checking them out, or Amazon!

Do you have a video showing the adjustment of the sensor and the lights once that unit is mounted under the soffit? 99.9 % of security lights don't have enough adjustment for the sensor and LED'S to point in the correct directions for the light to function properly.

Check out my follow-up video - I had to figure it out myself through trial and error.

What will happen if we won’t connect the I earthing wire in the three wire connections?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
I believe you mean the ground/green wire? The light will still work, but you run the risk of allowing electricity to go where it shouldn’t and discharge elsewhere/start a fire/shock someone.

The existing mounting holes won’t fit in to new mounting plate. What to do?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
You have two options - drill holes in the mounting plate to accommodate for the hole locations (easier solution), or install a new light fixture gang box in the soffit/fascia where you’re trying to install (cheap but more time/effort).

how do you find the switch to turn off the power?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
Some homes may not have a light switch tied into that wire - if you’re not sure, it’s probably best to turn off power at your breaker.
@mr1morrison2 жыл бұрын
Nice job mounting, but as you probably found out it is almost impossible to adjust the motion sensor as the sensor mounting tube is horizontal with the soffit and can not be positioned up or down, vertically. A very important part of this video could be aiming the light and aiming the motion sensor for distance from the house as well as adjusting it’s sensitivity. If you got the motion sensor distance from building adjustment to work, please include a picture as to how you were able to get any up and down distance adjustment on the motion sensor.
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
The motion sensor tilts up and down at the end of the tube in order to detect motion at varying locations.
@mr1morrison2 жыл бұрын
@@GalippsGadgets because this is soffit mounted the motion sensor tube becomes rotated 90° and now only rotates left or right, not up or down for distance from house changes. If you were able to rotate the sensor tube, can you show how that was done?
@anthonyraineri51902 жыл бұрын
The sensor should be under the lights. If it works for you, good for you.

Mounting looks easy enough but you cannot adjust the sensor. It says this side up but you cannot turn it up due to limitation of sensor shaft.

Do this tipe of light work as solar light also or only with electrical wiring?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
This model is specifically hardwired into the house’s electrical. I don’t believe Koda makes a model that runs on solar.

This light has life of 52000 hours, then why we need electric connections?
@GalippsGadgets2 жыл бұрын
It’s not battery powered - the life of 52,000 hours refers to the bulb (LEDs).
