@Jan Brady As far as I know 1.5 tsi engine for VAG group is made by Skoda, besides I doubt Seat is actually Spanish, Skoda is Czech. Its simply VAG group. In my country A4 is almost 2 times more expensive than Octavia, probably luxury taxes.

Hi Josip, First class review. Now I know all information I need. It's shame that this car cost $40k and have crappy plastic here and there, we can hear wind noise around A pillar (similar to my old Skoda) and haven't comfortable suspension. Because I have a Skoda Octavia II FL wagon I'm used to 600l trunk. For me Octavia IV isn't in a leader position anymore in this space also. I will buy Kia Ceed SW 1.5 t-gdi or Hyundai i30 1.5 t-gdi. If someone want bulletproof car 1.5 dpi is also available (engine without turbo and GPF). Thanks again for perfect test.

Iam considdering to drive a new octavia but so much not nessecary led lights on the dashboard and roof of the car. Looks like a christmastree from the Lidl🤪 Now iam driving a A Class mercedes and dash lights are much more subtile. Is it possible to turn of not nessecary christmas ledlights?

It's just the camera. LED and other light source may flicker depending on what FPS it films in :)

Digitalni kokpit ima sport mode samo na RS, mislim da je moguće putem OBDEleven promjenit kodiranjem i na drugim modelima, ali za to treba znat nekoga tko to zna odradit. Znam jednog Hrvata ali živi i radi u Njemačkoj i ne dolazi često. Drugo pitanje, na žalost ne.

Well i PLAY golf so i ned the space for my gear so yes. But i could choose the spotstourer in the Leon, but the Octavia still fells bigger and more allround Well build. I am going for the 1,5 tsi with DSG. I am so confused about this. The matrix is not a standard in the upgraded style model here in Denmark, so i have to pay Extreme for that anyway. But the ambientlight is so cool in the Leon. But i need space. So confusing 🥺

@@Potencijalnikupac nisam jer malo tko je stavljao tu opciju. Vozio sam 4 različite konfiguracije od toga dvije su ok buka, a dvije fijukao vjetar oko B mosta pored uha. Ja sam imao Octaviu 3 auto je bučan na 130 Octavia 4 mi je bila za nijansu bolja. Ali tu su me razočarali da nisu poboljšali. Ali Škoda je pod VW i tu štede jer VW i Audi moraju biti volji. Sječam se prijatelj je imao A3 puno bolje izoliran auto. Ja sad vozim Teslu auto je tiši od moje stare Škode ali meni bučan. Možda je to postala profesionalan defirmacija. Najbolje je sam probati na test vožnji. Tupla stakla malo pomažu u buki, bolja je aukustika za audio sustav. Izolacija se postiže na karoseriji i stavlja jem izilazijskih deka na unutarnju stranu blatobrna. Jer najviše buke dolazi upravo od guma i ceste, a onda na večim brzinama otpor zraka. Tu brtve pomažu ako su kvalitetnije da ne fijuće zrak na spojevima vrata. Ali uvijek imaš opciju odnjest auto i neku garažu da ga dodatno izoliraju.

Very nice review, well done! I'm about to choose a new car and the Octavia (Estate) is high on my list. I'm almost full option with the likes of a pano roof, but I'm having to choose between heads up display or a reversing camera? Personally I don't really see the benefit of the HUD, but maybe you can explain. Also, the LED lighting inside, it's only on the dash or throughout the car, or does that depend on the trim level? Finally, could you give me an idea on how well the autonomous driving works on the Octavia? I would love to see a video whereby you demonstrate how well the interior can be dimmed to night friendly driving as I often find this an issue in many other cars, i.e. you dim the dash, but some buttons won't dim along? Thanks!!

Well HUD is a cool feature as your eyes are closer to the road. I really didn’t need backing camera all this years. Ambient lights are only on a dash and front doors. ACC is very practical if you’re on road all the time and well worth the money as another safe feature. Stop and go in traffic is fantastic. You can dim the buttons illumination in the infotainment.

@@JRCarReviews does it engage handbrake automatically and release in traffic? I've once driven a Toyota fitted with ACC and I agree, it's great and really takes a lot of strain out of traffic jams! I'm having second thoughts about the matrix LED lights as I don't drive at night very often, seems like an expensive gadget to get. I could probably drop that and fit 18" rims plus HUD and possibly more little toys.

Superb is more comfortable on road as it has better suspense and multilink on the back, it has bit less cabin noises. But it’s to large car for my taste, but it is more quality made in side. If you want Octavia 4 I would wait for RS model it should be on the same lvl of driving if not better and should have posh interior.
