Some things for people who may wonder: You can spec heated rear seats and three zone climate control, which will be in place of that storage under the climate wents and some USBs instead of the second storage. You can spec these seats with either full leather , alcantara/leather or this cloth/leather. You can have alcantara on the dashboard. The piano black accents around the cabin are option. In future , there will be 2.0 petrol engine so consider that , if you want more dynamic ride but not the VRS . Hope this helped :D

Looks good, the biggest issue I have is that it doesn't have physical controls for the cooling/heating, it's much quicker, intuitive and safer when driving.

I consider to buy new Octavia Style package. Now i have 3rd generation Octavia (2016 y) 2.0 TDI 150 HP 6-speed DSG. Some days ago I did a test drive of the new Octavia (same version as yours) here in Lithuania. Pros: more space inside, 7-speed DSG more comfortable. Suspension is much more better than my current Octavia (and even Superb of 2007y) . Design is very good. Very low consumption - half and hour in a city and another on highway - only 4,1 l/100 km. Cons: 7-speed DSG is not such fast as 6-speed at 1and 2 speed. Noisy - engine noise is fixed but not tyres noise. Not sure if Matrix headlights is worth to order.

A5 is an entirely different car. Longitudinal engine, multilink suspension front and back and the list goes on and on. Actually, I would say Skoda is expensive for what it is, a simple car with Audi options, to make up for the big price. I mean, start price is 25000 euro. With 1.0 TSI, manual. If you want a decent petrol, automatic model with some options with reach 40k euros. Sorry, but Skoda is a value brand or it should be, but it isn't anymore.

Octavia is now on a higher level. On the level where first octavia was is now Škoda Scala. Octavia is more like Superb now. So we have to accept higher price.

Let's hope exterior and interior improvements will be enough to keep sales volumes high. Mechanically it is still the same good old octavia 3 if I'm not mistaken. If anything, Skoda as such has no word in pricing. VW (the owner of Skoda...) does (imho). I see enough reason for motivation on VW's side, to make Skoda sales less lucrative by pricing them more expensive (think about the firing of Skoda executive, in the recent past and the ever soaring Skoda sales vs VW's sales).

I am launching its Chinese version in Shanghai now. Your video helps a lot with my research. Since the Chinese version is still undergoing final tweaking process now, I cannot reveal the details. What I can say is that there will be difference between the international version and Chinese version. But Skoda will keep them to minimum. Geez, finally Skoda gives us a nxt generation Octavia that people will be actually buying. I am glad I will be witnessing its final unveil up to early nxt year.

Super video, detaljan, ko i uvijek :D kaj se samog auta tice, nakon vise odgledanih videa, dojam je da je interijer na jednoj razini vise od golfa... i to se vidi u detaljima, tapecirung u vratima, pretincu za rukavice, pa cak i onom malom pretincu kraj volana, pa npr. sam izgled volana, ako zanemarimo dva kraka koja mi osobno ne smetaju buduci da je trokraki tu kao opcija, prvo mi u oko upadaju fino napravljeni aluminijski kotacici za pojacavanje i smanjivanje i kontrolu virtual cockpita, pa i ostali gumbici, dok je kod golfa to sve plasticno, a kotacici su proslost... pa i neki drugi detalji, osobno mi se svida da su ostavili barem neke fizicke tipke ispod ekrana, ako nist drugo... a i onaj poklopac za cupholdere podize sam interijer, ko i novi cupholderi odostraga, iz nekog razloga u golfu i seatu se jos drze onih katastrofalnih na sredini naslona za ruku, ovo je puno bolje...sve u svemu dojam je da je ovo puno ozbiljniji auto od brace, pogotovo golfa koji mi ostavlja dojam tako jeftine izrade i velike neozbiljnsti, u usporedbi s sedmicom izgleda kao jeftina igracka, (A3 je klasicno na razini, ali golf i leon su sad ispod. cak mi je subjektivni dojam da je i leon iznad golfa) i vise se priblizava passatu nego golfu, pogotovo kad se u obzir uzme kvaliteta interijera, s tim da u RS izvedbi definitivno dolazi alcantara umjesto ove tkanine na ploci, a mozda bude opcija i za "obicne" modele... takoder imam Octaviu 3 pre-facelift i kad se usporedbe povuku, osim ove gluposti s digitalnom klimom, mislim da su otisli dosta naprijed, barem kolko iz videa mogu zakljuciti, sad samo treba isprobati u voznji :D samo nastavi, rezenzije su super :D

6:52 no, now it's electric and driver can lock/unlock it from the driver's door next to electric windows, you can lock/unlock both sides independently

Very nice review. Loved it. How does it drive? I have a Skoda now and I used to own a Fiat and I strongly feel that the Skoda couldn't hold a candle to my old Fiat (which I miss). Looks good. When I checked it out at the dealer in Germany the rear view mirror looked bigger, as big as in a Golf or Passat. In your video it looks just as narrow as in the old Octavia, that's strange. Maybe they use a different mirror for different countries?

Hi Josip, can you please help as I cannot find the answer anywhere including in my new 2021 Skoda Octavia Manual. If I may reference your video time scale 31.03 of this video where you refering to "even adding a picture of your loved ones". The virtual cockpit has a secton called "Backgrounds" where you can add 3 different pictures which you can scroll between and chose from however this is my Question, How do you add the 3 different pictures as there appears to be no setting to edit or add them. All 3 picture slots are blank??????
