I've been scanning up my old pics, mainly 35mm from the late 80's on, My early 80's is disc, I have had to cut up the negs and mount them 1 at a time to scan. Like you say really dissapointing when blown up compared to 35. They replaced the 2000 as it was crap, I took it back to Argos and they replaced it with the 3500, a much "Higher" spec. Not a bad thing for the day. I don't think yours is so well. Mine definitly isn't, I'm guessing it's in the local landfill of the 90's

Yeah it was really a design led camera with a pretty lame film system underneath. Both low res and limited number of pics? I guess the bonus was anyone could use it.

Can you use the disc in something like a Viewmaster?
@ZeroBudgetFilmSchool3 жыл бұрын
I doubt it, to be honest. Viewmaster discs have a white card surrounding the images which the viewmaster uses to rotate it. I think a Kodak disc wheel is the wrong size and shape to even fit in a viewmaster.

Can I still buy film for this camera?

Only old stock from eBay. Developing it is another headache!

You should get yourself a Minox subminiature camera. The negatives are 8X11mm and, because the lens has excellent resolution , the images are remarkably good.

I'd love to get a Minox. Very spy movie! I did take a bunch of stills using super 8 on a Sankyo ES44xl and they came out a bit grainy but otherwise surprisingly well. Probably would have looked better with a better scan (I used a Wolverine)

KZbin auto-translate captions?

The sound of the shutter and wind mechanism sounds terrible and sickly. Nothing romantic or interesting about shooting this camera I would think.

It takes all sorts, you know. There's people out there who would love to restore and shoot on one of these, in fact someone bought this very camera off me in eBay. The battery was on its way out though , miracle it had any juice left in it at all.
