I agree 100%. I have to admit, Leno pisses me off A LOT when he's talking to one of these geniuses and keeps interrupting them as they are explaining something really important or deep, etc., just to say, "I like this button here", throwing the rest of the conversation off. Holy crap he does it ALL THE DAMNED TIME. STOP IT, JAY, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THAT. YOU have the PRIVILEGE to actually TALK AND *LISTEN* to these geniuses that we'll NEVER get within 1000 miles of. How about you let them FINISH WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE SAYING, FINISH EXPLAINING THEIR THOUGHT PROCESS, THEIR IDEAS, INSPIRATIONS, AND EVEN THE TECHNICAL STUFF! IT IS CERTAINLY more interesting than your interrupting the engineer or designer just to say something completely idiotic like "I like this wood grain". FIRST RULE OF INTERVIEWING: LET THEM *TALK*!!!! You are not pressed for time with things like "hard breaks" for ads, having to get to 3 other guests on your talk show, etc. JUST LET THEM TALK!!!!

Touché sir, your design touches deep emotion.

You see the thing about this car is that its designed and made in Japan by Japanese people, but designed the way an Italian car would be. Therefore its gonna be as reliable as a Japanese car and as beautiful and soulful as an Italian car. Perfect combo? I think so.

That was a real treat! I love seeing cars like that, and hearing from the designers. I always wanted to be a car designer, I used to draw cars all the time, but lately I just haven't had much inspiration. Cars like the Kode 57 are the so special because those are the ones that inspire me. I would love to see more videos like this one, where you meet the builder and/or designer of a totally unique car, and discuss how they made it, what inspired them, ect.

I love the fact it's a front engine car/ work-of-art, with the engine out there for all to see :) But Jay,....does it do a burnout ? :) Awesome car Mr Okuyama ! :)

You are right, and now GM plans a Corvette with a mid-engine... WHY? the Corvette has a front-mid-engine! Terrible!

When two musicians come together and do an impromptu "performance", one playing with the other. They do that without "saying" something, just an unspoken "language". Mr Leno and this fellow are doing the same thing, as they are thinking though speaking.....alike, in their discussion of design. Jay Leno is exactly the kind of person that Ken would be really comfortable working with.

Good to see Ken again in his glory. He worked briefly for me in one of the advanced studios at GM Design fresh out of ACC and it was obvious that this young man was going places. Bravo Ken "OkiDoki" !😎

Absolutely gorgeous car. I especially agree with the way Jay described the cockpit, very much like a speedboat design with that wrap around windshield.
