I just purchased this bad boy. It is legitimately the best vacuum I have ever used. And I even brought home the Cinetic for a test drive. The Multi Floor Ball has more suction power and weighs less than the Cinetic! Great video! And who is your camera person? They are so spot on with zooming right into what you are talking about. Good job. (I'd suggest not using the KZbin auto stabilization though - too much distortion.)

+FRANK Szulakiewicz We bought a Kirby G3 about 18 years ago for over $1,000.00....This vacuum performs much better and at a fraction of the price

I agree...Kirby's are well made....The G3 has been a suction hog for almost 2 decades... The problem with this G3 relic is that they are belt driven.. Fricken belt needed to be replaced often from conception. I'm not going to waste my time and say anymore or go into detail about maintenance...I would guess that Kirby has updated their vacuum but The Dyson has as good or better suction and at a fraction of the price!!!!!!!!!!

I got exact same one today at costco.It was really good deal.can't believe it. I really love the fact that it cleans every edge of carpet like you showed on video. before I bought this, they didn't have any information of DC40 or DC65.I was really digging you tube to find out which one is it. I finally figure mine is same as yours. I kind of wished mine was DC65 because that's latest model,but you said DC40 is better.I hope this is better but do you know what is the deference between DC65 and DC40?What I know is DC65 power is stronger.

The baseplate is different on my DC40 2015 model. It has the max setting and a carbon fbre strip

Just picked up the multifloor tonight I was torn b/t the multifloor and the multifloor 2. I don't have pets and only my upstairs has carpet the rest of the house is wood floors and tile I hope I made the right decision. I figured for $299 and for my setup this one is best couldn't justify spending $399 for the multifloor 2. After a year now what's your take on this vacuum? Do you still like it?

This is actually a revised DC65, not a DC40, so it still weighs 17 lbs. it's still the lightest full size dyson though, and I think it's better than the cinetic

I just ordered a Dyson DC65 Animal multi-floor (purple), thinking its the same as Dyson ball multi-floor (yellow) with extra-length cord, and additional pet hair tool. But from your video, it seems like the base brush bar is different on the ball multi-floor without the center grids. You mentioned that this enables better carpet cleaning because of closer contact. Is it noticeably better than DC65 that you recommend I get the ball multi-ball instead while I still have a chance to change my order? :) If you have a video comparing the older DC65 with newer model in your testing condition, I'd be certainly interested in watching.

Yes I recommend you cancel your order and get the new ball multifloor. The difference in the baseplate makes A visible difference in cleaning. Without the grid lines the ball multifloor seals better to the carpet. The ball multifloor has way more agitation then the dc65. I do apologize I no longer have the dc65. If you want more cleaning tools, you can order the dyson ball allergy. It's the same performance as the multifloor but comes with additional tools for cleaning. I apologize I couldn't get back to you sooner. I do hope you can still Change your order.

+kode1996 No worries. Thank you such much for your response, and opinion on the ball multi-floor. The only reason I ordered the dc65 was because they had stair, crevice, mattress and pet tool for the same price as ball multi-floor (~$300). So thought its a neat deals without having to spend extra on all those tools. Its probably they need to phase out the older dc65 models. The dyson ball allergy doesn't seem to be running that kind of deals yet. Let me see if I can change my order to ball multi-floor now.

You need to do a sweeper vs sweeper video like the old Rainbow cleaner sales men did.. They'd have you use your Favorite vacuum on the floor (or a medium-large) area of the carpet first, then they'd come right behind when you were done and use the Rainbow sweeper to attempt to show you the Rainbow sweeper was top of the line and nothing cleaned better- Kirby sales men used to do this as well, I remember the day they did it to my mom, so she played along(already knowing their intention) she used her Rainbow Sweeper(SHE LOVED THAT THING), and they swore their product was 100x's better and they'd fill their Kirby up with dirt after she used her rainbow - Didn't work out to the Kirby Salesmans advantage though he could not get a single piece of dirt out of our carpet! he even tried the bathroom rug! nothing - the Rainbow cleaned it better than a Kirby could

Do you like it better than the Cinetic? I'm glad you got this one, I was going to suggest the new Dyson Ball Multifloor, which someone on Vacuumland said is a DC65 with a shorter cord. But this one looks like a great all rounder. Nice video Kode!

I love this way more then the cinetic! The cinetic was bulky and heavy and hard to push. this is lightweight, powerful and it's so easy and convenient to use.

I am annoyed after seeing this in that I just bought a brand new Dyson "Allergy" directly from Dyson in May of 2015. I thought the "Allergy" and the Multi-Floor were the same and it was just a difference of the attachments that come with it. I planned to get the Multi Surface but they were having a sale and the "Allergy" was $100 off and the same price as the Multi Surface usually is. I figured I'd take advantage and buy the "Allergy" since it came with more attachments that I figured I'd buy separately anyhow. Long story short, my Dyson has the old grid plate at the bottom of the brush roll and not the open one that you showed. I am sure that this does not have the same cleaning effect on carpet as the open style does. DId I get some old DC-65 model instead of the new models? Again. this was in the last 6 weeks from today's date of 6/10/15.

This bothered me, so I called Dyson today and described the difference between mine and the Multi Surface Ball that are open on the bottom. It took a few minutes to get her to understand exactly what I was talking about, but ultimately she went and looked at the models on the floor. She came back and said that she found two Allergy Models and one had the open brushroll area and one ha the grid plate. She said that change wasn't made immediately in the new iteration of the current Dyson's, but she assured me that based on my serial number, I DO have a current model and not a rebranded DC-65. Just bad luck in that when I ordered, some of these original models with the grid plate were still in stock.

the Dyson is really powerful because I got one myself and also it's really like it it's so easy and everything but not got thrown in trash for my grandma because she don't like she don't like it that's why I don't have I don't have my have mice no more because it's my Grandma's fault for the way it was mine I can pray for me my vacuum perfectly but I don't know why she has no way to keep on getting more blood if you see something wrong I'm sorry but I'm talking so bad but I really enjoy doing those I love you videos and love you too why is my notifications peace on the streets son

I guess you spend $600 to beat off your carpet (POS). By the way sharks new lift away could have gotten under that table, dyson's big ball is always in the way and its basically two big wheels on each side, not even a full ball-LAME

This is the ball they made because it's better than their previous balls. Basically there's no ducting surrounding he ball, everything's inside so it allows for better maneuverability.
