It seems like rolling up the wall window covers underneaths instead of over the top would allow the rain to run right off keeping it dry & clean from leaves etc. Seems like the way it's rolled up is backward

For my first time while reading the instructions, it took 30 minutes. That time will go down with practice. I have 4 kids, so this was a better option for me. As far as wind goes, I can't speculate, but this is a very stout tent! Where it is just the 3 of you for now the flex bow tent would be perfect choice for you and much lighter with some room to grow. Enjoy.

Great video! I am seriously thinking of buying this tent. The thing that is getting me is that Springbar makes there tents in Utah. I am so torn, because the windows on this tent are what I really want- tons of visability. If I am going to camp I want the nature to be RIGHT THERE. But as for made in the USA, Springbar is it. Hard to find these days.

How long does it take to assemble and stake? I am debating on this tent with the enclosure or the NEW Kodiak Canvas Tent 10'x14'- 6041 with the triangle windows. Its just me, my wife and our dog for now. I want to have plenty of extra space in case we want kids down the road (: I live in ND and am a little concerned about the wind, and was thinking the flex bow design may be a better option (also much faster to assemble).

Is it possible to stake down one side of the opening for the extra enclosure? Like if you just wanted the right side to move but have the left side essentially pinned up against that center pole.

Thanks for the tour. I'm really digging this tent but have concerns with the 12x9 footprint. We're a family of four and have four twin air mattresses and don't know how it would fit in there. Are you having any of your kids sleeping in the awning enclosure? Although the flex-bow is larger at 14x10, it doesn't have that screened awning option and I prefer cabin style with more vertical walls.

Thanks for sharing, I just bought the 26x16 Kodiak Grand Cabin... can't wait to go camping with it!! Are you not supposed to set up first and spray with water to weatherproof? I read somewhere when water hits it there is a chemical reaction in the canvas and it needs water to be activated.

Hi Sally, I'd love to see a video of the Grand Cabin if you've got one. There doesn't seem to be one online anywhere. How are you finding it? Is it possible for one person to set it up?

yes you can put it up with one person. That is how I usually do it. it has held up just fine through the years. I have had it on a winter camp out with a 6-inch snow load. it did not collapse it did not leak. I love this tent and would definitely recommend it.
