Forgot to mention the ‘smaller’ Kodiaq actually has more boot space and overall interior room than the Sorrento...oh and it has isofix mountings in the front passenger seat - a worthy mention for young families

You must have a defined 20tsi because ours has over 200bhp it a shame because we have a good range of engine 2.0tsi 201 bhp 1.5 TSI 154bhp 1.4 vi 270+bhp 2.0 TDI 150bhp and 190bhp Range of manual and dsg gear boxes Fwd and 4x4 5 and 7 seats Shame Skoda limit you to this one engine as there a great for flexible range

i don't know... it looks outdated to me. its rival all looks generations ahead. the front end looks like the old hyundai santa fe, and the rear end looks depressing... i think it might be a bit too low. the interior is alright though.

MQB Platform so engineering wise it's miles ahead of it's competition lol.

Previous Skoda Superb owner. Never again! Oil consumption, clutches and poor dealer/factory support. All in 50k kms! You have been warned!!!
@dschonsie7 жыл бұрын
i drove over 200k km in 3 different skodas and except a flat tyre 2 years ago and a lost key last winter (grrrrrrr! that was expensive!) there was nothing to complain about.

No wonder if it was 1.8TSi with the dry-clutch 7-speed DSG, from the earlier years - 2008-2011

Spot on. But the quality of support was awful as well. After 2 standard oil changes. Failed to tighten sump plug and/or replace gasket resulting in leaks. Failed to install turbo inlet pipe after resolving oil consumption (> 500ml per 1000kms). Blew off. Misaligned bumper as well. Left tools in engine bay Gearbox replaced (personally thought it was fine, dealer said there was an issue. Another week off road) 2 speeding fines assigned to me from dealership for cars I had not driven (during the repairs). Nearly lost licence. Enough was enough in the end. Shame. The car design (economy/performance, functionality etc) was great... Maybe just bad luck but the lack of quality of care at the dealership was mind numbing in the end.

Michael Lowe I totally understand your disappointment with all those negative experiences. If you had the 3.6 or the 2.0TDi CR, you probably wouldn't have dealt with the dealer this much and the problems you had with the 1.8 wouldn't have been present.

Love to know what vehicles you are referring to. Being an ex-Kia owner I will take my Kodiaq any day. The VW is an inferior package on the same platform, and the Ford/GM offerings hardly rate a mention. The CX-8 is about the only vehicle worthy of comparison but its not available this side of the ditch.

Nice advertisement, as usual. The car is the embodiment of medicority and horrendous design (especially when you know what Superb looks like prior to seeing this abomination).

Very outdated looking car. They should sell top range for $36k drive away then story can be different

hmmmm. lots of praise heaped on this car in this 'review' 🤔. You forgot to tell consumers about the following: 1) appalling resale 2) history of oil consumption issues 3) diminishing dealer network in australia 4) slow sales due to lack of consumer confidence in the product 5) poor interior fit (persistent rattles) 6) lacklustre vw support 7) bonus windscreen sticker for on road support when you breakdown!! no joke!! 8) how do i know? i owned a skoda! 😡
@colinme26725 жыл бұрын
In UK we must get different Skoda's. One the most reliable cars ever. Mine has don 150000 miles. No oil consumption or faults. More than half taxi drivers use them and do 300 000 miles plus in them. Skoda continues to grow here because they are better than VW alternatives.

Your failure is in the fact that your opinion is really, with respect objective. Your perception of what is a good looking car is not at all something we should pay attention to especially given the strong sales and projected growth in this the first ever Skoda 7 seat vehicle. The SEL model providing much of the luxury features only available in premium priced motors. Your lack of understanding shows just as your lack of judgement, given the populist view. This is indeed a very good looking car and when stood next to one (something I doubt you have ) you get a sence that real thought has been placed in this model notwithstanding the automatically retractable door protectors, the fact this is a 7 seater with ample room for 7 adults (some may argue that however it's been shown) plus the fact that the safety is second to none. You really do show yourself to be very "looks matter" in this sence. I wonder if that's how you are in real life! If so I can't help but feel sorry for you, theres no issue with having a particular reason for not liking any vehicle yet back that assertion up with fact or you just come across as the stereotypical "I don't like that so erm, show me another" (with an upward inflection) If you don't like the thing then please expand on your point or your opinion is just that and can be dismissed just as easily!!! Peace up!!
