Nice information. Please show us different recipes to use millets. I came across the videos of Dr.Khader yesterday. Would like to include the millets in my diet. I have tried black rice and red rice. I have measured my glucose after 2 hours, its definitely better than white rice. But still its not good for you, if you are diabetic. I haven't tried millets though.

Dear mam, I am little confused about ambali. Please help. First you soak the millet for 6 to 8 hrs. Then cook in clay pot. Cover the pot with cotton /khadi cloth and keep it for fermentation for 4 to 12 hrs depending on climate. 4 to 12 hrs of fermentation has passed and the ambali is ready to eat. Now, what is the duration after this 4 to 12 hrs fermentation, for which this ambali can be eaten without getting spoiled.

Yes, you need to season the new pot. Soak the pot in water for 2 days, clean it and dry it. Then apply oil to the pot and leave it for one day. Then wash it and you can use it for cooking

Poridge is broken rice or millet which you make. The best way to eat millets is soak for 6 hours. Boil the millet, strain the starchy water and eat it with sambar or any traditional gravy which you like

Hi. I boiled the water to make kodo millet. After the water boiled, I added salt and immediately the water became black. Is it normal and is the rice safe to consume?. Ive also noticed it with fermented millets. Before eating when I add salt, the area around becomes black. Please clarify if it is normal.

When we ferment it, it’s called ambali. When we cook n eat it without fermentation, it’s called rice or porridge. Is that right ??

Soak the millets for 6 to 8 hrs, sun dry it and then prepare flour. After that prepare dough and rest it for half an hour then prepare roti

Mam meri routine morning mei kasayam ke baad thoda fruit kha kar 2 chapati shuru ki hai, chapatti jow ki or ragi ki or afternoon or night mei Ambali kha rha hu mujhe auto immute disease hai kya routine shi hai na sugar kha hu na hi maida pls guide kijiye mujhe fark hai isme hor kya add kar skta hu jo meri recovery fast ho jaye.
