People keeps on comparing this to kimi no nawa (your name)... But they have the same amountof beauty and deepness into them the only difference is "your name" is mostly about love and determination while a Silent voice is more about life and reality they are both beautiful films but it depends on people's personal perspective and which one they can relate to...

Koe no katachi is about redemption, trying hard to fit in with the world despite challenges and accepting those who have said challenges. Ishida deals with depression and self-loathing because of his past deeds. As a result he is anti-social and has some kind of mental block. It is also implied he suffers from anxiety. Nishimiya's deafness put a barrier between her and most of her peers. Their inability to accept her for who she is have led to her being ostracized and having a terrible childhood. On top of that she also deals with depression and self-loathing. Both dealt with unacceptance and alienation. Both couldn't fit into the world they lived in no matter what they tried. And both end up being freed from their darker days. As for acceptance, I read another guy's comment who basically has pretty much hit the nail on the head: "She is the one who couldn't hear, but he was the one who didn't listen."

They said it was weird, asking why Shouko and Shouya doesn't end up together and they don't understand it at all. But no guys, this ending is the best ending. I can relate to Shouya so much in this ending...

*again*A distant shadow of a boy, slowly walking towards the light. Suddently two shadows appear. A boy and a girl, walking beside each other, ready to face anything in their path, suffering and pain is part of life. Many obstacles face your path, but being able to accept the pain allows you to face it, to move forward towards a new brighter future. Although it is a lot easier to walk towards the light when you have someone beside you .."

this movie is something, people cry not because it was sad but because it's such a happy ending and everyone was so proud for ishida
"It is not only the scene here, but the color of the sky under construction is drawn with beautiful light blue. Ishida-kun who always walked looking down and said, "No matter how annoying it is, not only that, there are things that are not only fun, but sometimes joyful things" It seems that they are telling such words. Ishida-kun, who was always watching under, probably tears down the magnificent air in the surroundings and the beauty of the sky by making a decision to walk on the top" Welcome

At the ending where the "tunnel" lights up, I don't think it's a tunnel. It's actually a vocal cord. Alluding the "Voice" as the brightest in someone else's life, even though it's actually "silent"

@nabe43206 жыл бұрын
thank you for that last bit, it cheered me up from crying again
The ending made me so happy and sad at the same time, cuz I tend to do what shoya did where he shut out the world and didn’t listen and kept his head low thinking that people are talking about him when really they’re not. People always say anime is dumb and that it’s sexualized, but that’s not true. There’s so much more to it than that
@GoneBoi992 жыл бұрын
Anime is everything, atleast for me. They've taught me more about life and feelings, more than my teachers, my friends, even my family ever could. There are so many beautiful anime movies/series that people need to watch. If they really think that anime is dumb, then they're missing out. Even great movies like "Inception" took inspirations and even imitated important scenes from the anime movie "Paprika".

Freedom? To me the ending means that no matter how much of an asshole you were, feel terrible about it and hate yourself, you so deserve to be happy just like everyone else. That there is redemption for everything you’ve done to others. It’s convincing people to forgive you that’s the hardest part. But once you accomplish that, don’t waste the opportunity to become a better you. :)
