No, car products are genuinely formulated differently. Both hand soap and dish soap are EXTREMELY harmful to car paint. They use grit and weak formulas for skin and cutlery. Cheap car shampoos are weak and cannot break down dirt, the cheapest will stain clear coat. High quality car cleaners are extremely thin, ​with powerful degreasers that dissovle dirt, tar and other orgamic materials while also conditioning the clear coat and protecting plastics. @joshuad1716

Do I dare to use these products on my favorite, 2011 Deville Touring Sedan, Platinum Edition Cadillac... which has been maintained in a flawless mint condition?! Never been subjected to a tunnel washer...only washed and waxed by my own hands, with hardly a scratch on it! And that naturally aspirated Northstar V8, at nearly 300 horses under the hood, would blow right past that CC850! So, move over Christian, and you too JWW...I'm coming through!!!!
