have you seen some of his other concepts? This man is one of my idols hands down. He has been a motivator in me deciding to do engineering. I idolize him because, as other replys say, he's so much more than just a CEO of a company. I admire him because hes so much more than just the brains behind the company or the money. I dont know how he got the start up he did but I applaud it. Itd be a dream to work for a company like this. Its small but it its industry redifining. I like Elon too but he doesnt seem to me like he has the desire to explain things. Christian on the other hand just explains them on such an intricate level its incredible.

CvK is just fucking nuts. The challenge to build such a car with such a small company is just unbelievable. the complexity of the whole decentralized system must be off the wall in terms of which chips to use, how to use them and how to blend everything together that it all works + the 3g implementation to every chip . just hats off to this visionary

Christian Von Koenigsegg is a one-man revival of an extinct breed of man. He's a reborn amalgamation of people like Colin Chapman, Ferdinand Porsche, Henry Ford, Ferruccio Lamborghini, and Enzo Ferrari. I would include Horacio Pagani, but he's more of a master jeweler who likes beauty and has a thing for cars, than a raging-hard-on-car-visionary-innovator, like the other men I listed.
@theq4602
@theq4602 7 жыл бұрын
Don't forget Charles Kettering. He didn't build his own car company but he revolutionized the automobile. Things he invented: electric starter, leaded gasoline, lightweight two stroke diesels (for trucks), the first refrigerant coolant the first practical paint for automobiles, the first aerial missile, air cooled engines on and on and on. Not even Koenigsegg can say he is as innovative as Kettering was.

Its an insult to Enzo to compare him to CvK. Enzo wasnt afraid of critics, he didnt hide behind NDAs, he was out in the open and no matter what happened he stayed true to his vision. Till this day you can buy a ferrari and drive the shit out of it and post the videos, just like back in Enzos days. You cant buy a car from CvK without agreeing to legal clauses that are actually illegal in all of western europe. Look up the american buyer who never got his car, the process is so dirty and full of clauses and customer abuse, no other manufacturer has ever done that and especially not Enzo.

@z28camaro79
@z28camaro79 7 жыл бұрын
jody024 I like Koenigsegg and Pagani for very different reasons. Yes Pagani, and most car companies of this caliber, out source certain parts for their products. Horacio IMO is equally an art curator as he is a designer and engineer. Have you seen the engine bay on any Zonda/Huayra??!! It's like looking into a jewel box. Same cannot be said for Koenigseggs or any of the AMGs IMO. What Christian and Horacio are both trying to achieve for their companies and products are apples to oranges.
@jody024
@jody024 7 жыл бұрын
Lord Amadeus Seriously ? Egg Engine bays are not about being artsy, THAT'S the art of them. The artsy stuff is typical for Horatio though, he's Italian.
@z28camaro79
@z28camaro79 7 жыл бұрын
jody024 By no means am I saying anything negative about anything Koenigsegg but I just appreciate the extra mile Pagani goes aesthetically with all of its details. The engine bay could look the same as the SL73 AMG BUT it doesn't. They even put the company logo on every bolt in the Huayra. Little things like that arouse me. We'll have to just agree to disagree. The two are apples to oranges.You're talking to a guy whose favorite work of art is the Huayra.

Research how Musk became the head of Tesla - here's a clue; he sure as hell isn't the founder. Bringing Musk into your company is a great way to invite a hostile takeover and have everything that you've built stolen right from under you, as you're fired and left with nothing.
@SZ-ZS-
@SZ-ZS- 7 жыл бұрын
RyTrapp0 why does it matter if hes the founder or not, he made a fortune off paypal, and he risked it ALL on tesla (almost losing it all) and then risked it all again on a space exploration company, which now has contracts with NASA to deliver cargo to the ISS
@RyTrapp0
@RyTrapp0 7 жыл бұрын
"Why does it matter if he's the founder or not..." Huh??? Did you read the entire comment or just pick out a few phrases? Elon Musk came into Tesla as an investor and, within a year with the company, organized a takeover that FIRED the original founder and would leave Musk in charge. When someone posts a comment saying that CvK & Musk should work together on supercars(inferring that Musk would become involved with Koenigsegg), it matters that Elon has a history of organizing company takeovers And, as far as "risking it all" is concerned, the only thing that Musk is risking is the money that the various investors have put into these companies - all of Elon Musk's money is nice & safe in his own bank account, not connected to any of these companies.

Where 1500 hp really belongs is inside a mobile generator or a small stationary powerplant for a developing country. Of course then your main concern is fuel sipping. In that field every 1500hp diesel generator (of which many exist) outclasses the motor because they are all by definition 7-15% more efficient. Albeit they are about 10x the size.
@StarionDon
@StarionDon 5 жыл бұрын
What you're doing with 1500 HP is dragging a diff that is like, HUGE. The amount of gear and therefore load on the engine is nuts. So much so that there's 3 more electric motors to lug that bitch to speed.

Koeniggsegg works with Rimac , they did the battery pack and more for the Regera.I think Mate Rimac is the best in the business (sorry Elon) , with the Rimac concept_one and the Rimac conceptS.

CAPTAIN AMERICA My comment isn't about creating the fastest vehicle, it was more a statement about creating new and exciting technologies. In my opinion, Christian and Elon are great innovators with a vision for future tech.

Should definitely look up the Rimac, pretty neat. Agreed on the trio joint venture, craziness.

those carbon breaks are insane, those wheels are unique too, everything they do is the epitome of engineering, my respects to this man for everything he has accomplished by himself, can't wait to see the new episodes.

Koenigsegg is the greatest company in the world, the brains behind the logo is right here. We won't be seeing many unique people like him anytime soon.

I really really love the details given by Christian about his cars, inside and out, but also what we fans really want to see some ROAD ACTION, speed drag or track, maybe after finishing the tests done on the Regera, do a race between One:1 vs Regera from like 50/60 to 300+ km/h , that would be something historic and orgasmic.
