I would love a video talking about the 05 suite of sports games. Feels like every 05 sports game was a banger

Love the unique style you’ve crafted man. Never seen someone use the video as the background but fits so well with the couch convo vibe you’ve made. Love your work man, it’s been dope watching the progression of your content.

I always set a playbook up in 2k24, friends get mad when I start whipping out lob plays with options for threes. Love running plays.

I wish you could save playbooks on there without having to save the roster. Wish it was an actual feature

@@KingKobe81I wish the emphasis this style of play, I would be more inclined to play it vs madden which I feel I can “be creative” (mostly defensively)

One thing I have always wanted someone to try is a RTS style approach to soccer, rugby, or football. It should definitely be lower APM than Starcraft, but I always thought it'd be cool as hell to have some of those game concepts (control groups and formations come to mind mainly) built around controlling your team's movement. Like with football it'd be set up so you pick a play like in Madden, but then you get more control over when you run or pass, like being good at movement would let you do stuff like adjust OL blocking/DL assignments, delayed handoffs, or throwing to a spot downfield and moving your receiver/DB to the spot to actually catch it/defend it. Soccer and rugby would fit in with RTS even better I think, since there's a lot more constant movement.

This is what 2K's freelance and series features were supposed to be. Unfortunately, half of them have only a few branches and many of them have set positions in areas.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. That’s freelances. And they have multiple activation points within them.

Do you remember coach mode in 2k? That was the best way to develop players, to run sets and plays to there strengths while making subs. A true coaching simulation
@Lavarpsu1010 ай бұрын
Great feature Kofie. I definitely underrated these features at the time. I feel like a more set-based system in 2k would also mesh better with general strategy than the very specific playcalling it is now. It feels very difficult to actually play through a particular player unless you’re manually selecting each play for them because the free flow sets are basic and feel static without a strategic focus.

That’s what made NBA Live great for the first 10 years of its existence. EA was great at balancing realism with crazy arcade elements. I think that’s lost with sports games today and with the fans. There’s ridiculous need to have the game look exactly like the real thing fun be damned.

I wish 2k would make play calling easier. I might not want every P&R ball handler to have the same plays
@noconsent10 ай бұрын
2k24 is my first one, and I like the auto play calling because it moves the team around, moves the ball around, even if I don't actually follow the play. Manually doing it is too crazy, when I don't really know the plays off the top of my head, and when I am playing my career I am literally the 3 spot, so calling plays isn't really an option. What I wish was different was my ability to quickly change how to guard a pick and roll. Sometimes I want to ice, sometimes I want to hedge, sometimes I want to drop, sometimes I want to blitz and trap. But there's no defensive play calling at all. And there is zero way to do blitz and trap without one robot helping do it, and since it is a new play, developed in college this year mostly, the bots have no idea what a blitz and trap even is. idk I would love to see more options for defensive play calling. even if it is a simple scheme.

I have not run a play in 2k since like 2k13. You can always just start with a PnR or straight drive and the CPU rotations will be busted instantly
