Phx is easily one of the best teams in the league imo. Will be a top 4 seed minimum. Vogel was a huge issue last season and completely lost the locker room. Suns have the top end talent and now the depth and coaching to be the best team in the nba

I'm actually excited about this season now and I didn't think I would be after last season ended. At the very least, I think the team will be much more fun to watch compared to how brutal last season was. The product was terrible. Tyus taking a big pay cut to come here was huge. As an AZ sports fan, I'm used to our teams collapsing when it matters and getting embarrassed on the big stage, but don't make all 82 games a horrid slog to watch, that's all I ask lol.

I really like that walking around with the green screen in the back format. A unique touch. I see your train of thought and why you see them around 6th, but I just entirely disagree. They won 49 games last year with so many things going wrong. Health, 4th quarter collapses, the bench sucking most of the years, and IMO Frank being really bad. The first thing for me, Frank was much worse than I think we realized. The stars looked checked out and like they were not enjoying playing at all last season. I don't think Frank is a bad guy, but I just think they found no joy playing in s a system they didn't believe in. They played way too simply offensively. So much came down to iso and PnR with our stars. Needless to say, that will always be a part of basketball, but you cannot do that all game, game after game. I think that lead to a lot of our 4th quarter collapses. Our guys had to be tired by the 4th, and the defenses begin to figure it out since it's what we're doing all game. Turnover were a huge problem, Monte and Tyus are perfect PGs to help with that. Both our top 5 in protecting the ball. KD and Book already seem to be fitting in beautifully with the movement system. I do have the Thunder as #1 in the west, but I think we'll be 2-3.

The Suns will definitely be in the Top 6 in the West & possibly better than a few of those teams you mentioned. You can't serious saying the Suns will be in the Play-In when they got better this offseason. The only way they be in the Play-In is if they have any major injuries other than that the Suns are one of the best teams in the West right now & have a legit chance of winning a championship this year. The Suns are definitely better than the Lakers. the Lakers did nothing this offseason. The Lakers will be a Play-In team.

the roster wasn't ideal last season, but Vogel was *not* doing them any favors. anyone who followed the team all season, knows that, but I understand the confusion from the outside. and to be fair to him, while he has more to blame than some people realize, its not really his fault that they hired him. Coach Bud is the type of person who will lay down the law and press them into what works. Yeah defense is going to take a dip probably, compared to last year, but this team was never built for that. I know defense might be the Suns downfall, but at least its a realistic expectation of the range of the team. 🤷

@1:34 It's not ENTIRELY Frank Vogel's fault. I think he was hired with the intent of working with Deandre Ayton. But..... They traded Ayton. Frank Vogel's defense shines best when he has at least one or 2 athletic bigs. But as defense is Frank's strength, offense is his biggest weakness. He completely relies on his superstars to just make it happen on that end. The Frank fire to Mike Budenholzer hire was totally justified for this roster.

great vid but i think you’re completely incorrect when it comes to it “not being vogels fault” he was running a really shit, run your best players into the ground offense and from allllll the reports, all the players didn’t like him. james jones deserves a little blame for thinking he could construct a winning team around beal book and kd with metu, watanabe, goodwin, bates-diop, bol, who are all unproven guys. the suns this year are going to have an elite elite offense and when the playoffs come around they’ll just have to lock in on defense. i think they’ll make one more move at the deadline, and hope that’s enough. i see this team getting 53-54 wins and making it wcf game 6.

Shawn Marion reincarnated incoming with the Ryan Dunn renaissance More realistically though we aren’t counting on 4 guys that either aren’t in the nba or are the 15th spot on another team and now have Royce o Neal coming off the bench for legit bench minutes for a whole season, same with Tyus pushing GA to the bench, and Monte and Plumlee (and hopefully Oso) will also be much more stable and potentially winning bench minutes instead of praying we don’t collapse during Eubanks minutes and Goodwin/KBD/Yuta/Metu. All that, a season of experience together, and Bud running the offense, should be a much better season
