Vince is an asshole, and Kofi's title run proved this was all done against Vince's will.

It had to come to an end at some point. The fact that he was able to hold on through SummerSlam it's a testament to how much they respect the guy. I just can't believe that a roomful of super smart wrestling guys thought that bringing in Cain Velasquez was going to be an appropriate ending to that first SmackDown on Fox🤦‍♂️ Not to mention that the exact same thing could have been accomplished letting Kofi have a good match with Brock before taking the pin.

@ogjohnnydeath you're mad 🤔 Ok ok... Kofi should have had a 10-year run with the belt and went over on Lesner. That give you a warm and fuzzy? If you think my point is to put over Cain Velasquez then maybe you are illiterate 🤷‍♂️ after reading your reply I'm leaning toward that.

One of the greatest moments in wwe and wrestlemania history until they ruined it and gave the fans a huge middle finger having him squashed to Brock to promote him vs Cain and that match was absolutely terrible then Cain got released
@jamesmiller5331
@jamesmiller5331 11 ай бұрын
I mean that was obviously a misstep and they could have got to the same place they were going by having coffee have a good match with Brock but trophy had a 6-month run with the championship and even got through SummerSlam with it. It kind of proves the idea that wrestling fans are never going to be happy about anything when you say that this moment was ruined because of something that happened to half a year later. Was Daniel Bryan's WrestleMania 30 moment ruined because of his neck and head issues a couple of months later? You can never take it away from him. Or them.

@@jamesmiller5331Literally any time anyone dares to merely point out something that makes no sense, or in this case renders the entire world championship storyline for the last year completely pointless and erased like fans wasted their time even watching, there's always some braindead dunce ready to point and have a big ol whine about people never being happy. No, it's people like you are never happy because you're seriously so desperate to complain about other people that you resort to using any sign of critical thought as a greenlight to have your copy/paste rant about how "wrestling fans are never happy". It's remarkably easy to make wrestling fans happy, tell a consistent story that makes sense and has payoffs regularly enough to reward the viewer for actually getting invested instead of punishing them for it. Don't get mad at other people for having a brain bro

@phoenixmodellingphotography well you're wrong. I preach having logic in wrestling and this whole Cody / The Rock thing is a great example where all of these weirdo casuals have come out of the woodwork and would have been perfectly fine I guess with the Royal Rumble just being completely ignored just so they can insert their man crush into the main event inexplicably. That right there is ignoring logic and shitting on the fans that have been watching for the last year. Kofi Kingston having a 6-month run with the belt and then losing is not anywhere near the same category. It was poor bucking, it was a poor choice to be sure, but it doesn't take away the 6-month run Kofi had. Nothing can. But instead of focusing on the 6 months he had, a 6-month run that no one would have ever guessed that he was going to get and being happy with that everyone wants to point to how he lost it and act like that washes the whole thing out. Maybe it does to you and I guess you're entitled to that opinion but I don't look at Daniel Bryan's WrestleMania 30 moment being canceled out by getting hurt by Seamus 2 months later. And it's true, you can't make the wrestling crowd happy. You watch, Cody could win the championship at 40 ending the show in celebration and I give it 60 days before the audience turns on him.

@@jamesmiller5331 @jamesmiller5331 @jamesmiller5331 Alright that's fair enough mate, you're right I did perceive you the wrong way initially because I assumed you were just another one of the many "Whatever people are enjoying, I am against" online recreational contrarian with no ability to form their own opinion or think critically about anything based off something other than their emotions. I give people the benefit of doubt in most situations but I guess I have PTSD from all the braindead takes I've been forced to read about this from countless mentally challenged people No.1 It did erase the entire year that was spent building Koft up to be the one to escape from perpetual midcard pergatory and finally achieve his dream of breaking through and becoming a main event guy. It was the ultimate Vince McMahon rugpull "Haha sorry pal, back down to the midcard for you!" But at least have Kofi put up a worthy fight by having a competitive match with him before losing the belt 2. What reasons are there to make you believe the fans will turn on Cody all of a sudden? Without mentioning AEW because they're mostly a different audience

The way Kingston got jobbed out to Lesnar remains the most unnecessary, obnoxious and tone deaf piece of booking I have ever seen, six months of top challengers were buried along with the champion, all for a Saudi match with a UFC guy who was as out of his element in wrestling as CM Punk was in the octagon.

Bryan and Kofi did absolutely nothing in the match but the thing was they didn’t need to. I was there live and the fans just wanted to see Kofi win. I remember going through such a rough time in my personal life in 2019. My ex cheated on me, took most of my money and half of my stuff when she moved out. I was depressed. I remember just watching this match live, and hoping Kofi would win. In storyline he was beaten down at every turn, which was just something I could relate to. When he won, tears. It's why Cody needs to finish his story, and it's why all wrestling promotions need these great character arcs, it takes us away from the BS that happens in the real world and creates memories.

One of the worst booking mistakes ever. Daniel Bryan should have won to solidify himself as the biggest heel in the company, since he was having the best run of his career in WWE with the vegan extremist gimmick. Instead they LiStENEd To ThE fAnS!1!1!1!1 and completely squandered the momentum of their best worker in the world to give us a useless title run ended in 9 seconds by Lesnar. Ineptitude all over the place
