excited you got to run the race - I was scheduled to run it a few years ago - I think it was the 2nd or 3rd one - and unfortunately had COVID right before the race - and spoke at length with @thegingerrunner and we decided it was best to postpone - well as you know my last few years have been touch - but really hope to get back and run it within the next 2 years.

I keep them in a plastic baggie in my pack. I ended up using none of my extra batteries (although I used up the insta360 and the GoPro was just about dead)

Logging. It's private land on the summit which led to a couple years of clear-cut. But supposedly the land will be back in the hands of DNR and the 360 views will remain.

Notice that the video was made with two cameras: Insta360 X4 and GoPro. Nice footage from both cameras. The Insta360 was bending the trees a little bit but hiding the selfie stick nicely, while the GoPro did not bend the trees and the footage looks more natural. I have the DJI Action 4, and it has a feature to remove the selfie stick. I returned the Insta360 X4 due to the editing hassle and fast battery drain with 8K video. If you were to run a similar race and could take only one camera, would it be a traditional action camera like the GoPro Hero 12 or the Insta360 X4?

I always always always say that the Insta360 One X series is a good camera to buy if you already own a regular action camera.
