I am strongly of the opinion that Constitutional amendment should be made to make legislation be on part time instead of full time. The State Houses of Assemblies, the National Houses of Assemblies that is the Senate and House of Representatives should be run on part time. I support Prof Pat Utomi on the need to cut down on the huge cost of governance in Nigeria. The cost of governance is taking a huge toll on the meagre resources of Nigeria while many Nigerians are suffering. No money is there to provide free education for the children, No money to create employment or jobs. No money to develop Agriculture. No money to fix the epileptic power supply now affecting struggling artisans like Barbers, Hair Dressers, Ice blocks operators, Sea Food sellers etc NO money to provide the necessary utilities that will put smiles on the faces of the Nigerian people. All over Nigeria it is economic hardship and sufferings. Meanwhile, politicians are just milking the country. Cost of governance in Nigeria from local government to State and the federal government is just so huge coupled with massive corruption and squandermania.
