@marsfuture12 сағат бұрын
@@EdgardLouisa it's probably one of the last places I would bring my family and children. Why would I expose them to perhaps the most notorious sex tourism destination in the world, where there's this vibe in the air, these bars on the high streets, and wherever you walk, you see a certain vulgar clientele of tourists. Doesn't matter if you move a bit out, you still live in Pattaya and it is what it is. I'd rather move to Hua Hin if I wanted to stay on the mainland.

Just stayed in all three places, completely agree - perfect overview Might add: Koh Phangan has more of a hippy vibe - if you are not into that, probably koh samui best option

Thanks, Joose :) I’ve stayed for 1 month in Phuket and never enjoyed the vibe, nor the Thailand-typical highways or even Phuket old town. Always wondered if Koh Samui would be a better fit. Will definitely try it out soon :)

@marsfutureКүн бұрын
@@JooseTheNomad Thanks, Joose! I got friends who really love Phangan, and your videos also really showed the beauty of it. I think it'd be that bit too small for me personally tho, I always like having some kind of urban infrastructure and "normal life" and amenities in the vicinity, and more space options. I fear I might feel a bit caged in and trapped on Phangan along wannabe trustfund "hippies", influencers, fullmoon students and Instagram nomads hehehe. I actually appreciate if there's a mix of families, locals and normal people also living in places, so if Samui is a bit calmer than Phuket and still very beautiful, then it might fit the bill. :)

Great video Joose. Considering living for 4-5 months of the year in either Koh Samui or Phangan. Is it possible to get a reliable fiber optic Internet with min. 200 Mbps speed in either of those places at home? My work requires a very stable and strong internet connection with low latency. Not sure if that's possible there? Any feedback would be appreciated Joose. 🙏
