I just inherited this same engine yesterday on a 1974 wheel horse C-105. Pretty quiet and strong motor for a 10hp.

that it is indeed. well, at least I ASSUME it's pretty quiet. I don't have the muffler repaired yet on mine.

@stephennyberg2292 I can't tell if my exhaust is stock or not, but I can say it is definitely quieter than my brand new push mower. And the engine is probably about the same size as my newer kohler 19.5 horse on my craftsman. Its a beast, and pulls my 19.5 backwards no problem. Could be the weight. It could be the gear ratio. Either way. Its 30 years older and wins.

I have one in a Jacobsen gt 10 that seems to have low compression, around 50psi. Good strong motors
