Removed the aquapiston from my new Kohler Elliston Rev.360 before installing it so it’s not water starved, best decision ever, having no problem with the normal flapper

When tank is filled and all is quiet....here is my question ...is the canister full of water or empty?

I was in my toilet in a cabin with friends and I trying to make it work for 30 min !!!! Watched this I swear I fixed it in two seconds! I watched my shit flush down so fast!

Kohler is forced to comply with water restriction laws and a quick handle press does just that, and yes you have to hold the handle down for a complete flush. but that only takes three or four seconds and you've just spent five minutes trying to pass that cheese brick! I just replaced the seal on mine this morning and it was very easy and I'm all thumbs. I have very hard water and I spent more time brushing off the deposits on the canister.

I rather have a 3 gallon toilet any day

Her math is quite fuzzy. Each flush saves about 1/3 gal. Of water. ( 1.6 gpf now improved to 1.28 gpf=.32 gpf) to save 5000 gallons per year you would need to flush 15,000 times per year. For a family of 4 that is 3,750flushes per person per year. I'm guess in 365 goes into 3750 about 10 times. I don't think the average person flushes 10 times per day.

Garbage. You have to hold down the handle for it to completely flush. The fill valve is set to max and there is little slack in the chain. The damn thing just closes to friggin fast

Ok, an update. Turns out, the jet in the bottom of the bowl was almost completely blocked by calcium build up. It flushes a lot better now. However, if there is waste in the bowl...(floaters...lol) You still have to hold the lever down longer. If not, you will have to flush twice.

THESE F'N GASKETS are a pain in the Ass to replace.... incredibly hard to get gasket seal squashed down tight enough to lock the flange in!

TERRIBLE design Kohler! The flushing mechanism is a terrible design.

The AquaPisston is *SHIT!* Take it from someone who owns one. It has ZERO power and hardly lets out any water.

And you cannot adjust it. At least you can adjust the Fluidmaster flappers on American Standards.

@@BroadwayLTDProductions Exactly. Kohler is easily one of the worst plumbing fixture manufacturers in business today.
