What is the advantage of using the DD dodger on your downriggers??? I know it is helpful on top water, but curious about the DR use. THANKS...

Paul Monaco the Double D is an attractor that helps move your bait erratically in the water. This attraction and movement are important at any depth where you find fish. The downrigger only serves to move your gear to the depth where fish are showing up on your fish finder; controlled depth fishing. We usually go with about a 50-75 foot set back from our downrigger ball and the gear works as if it were flat lined near the surface. It will definitely put more fish in your boat!

Thank You, very helpful. I always think of Double D as a dodger that gets you away from your boat for the scared Kokes. I also HATE the 125' - 150' set backs, so 50-75 is the SWEET SPOT for me. LOL... I just subscribed, I thought I already was a LOYAL follower. Now it's official. ;-)

Paul Monaco thanks for subscribing! Remember that the Double D now has a center hole so that it will work straight back from your boat. And if you stack, you can hook the upper Double D so that it will move away from the boat to keep all your gear separated. Good luck and happy fishing!
