Lake Chelan Fishing Report March 2022

Every time I come to Lake Chelan I wonder why i don’t come here more often.
People, food, fishing, scenery, vibe, and the overall positive feeling about this place leaves my sole feeling great.
I have a Family now. The early mornings, well prepared me is in the past. Perfection doesn’t exist. The chance at fun does. We fished 3 days and never launched the boat before 10:00 am.
We came home with many Silver Bullets.
Naps, smiles, junk food, and memories were plenty.
Sit back and hopefully I can pass some of this Positive vibe, feeling or whatever it is on to you.

We did well Sunday and yesterday. A couple around 15” which was a nice surprise. I took my dad and son with me. Thanks for the info the other day as you were spot on!!

So I am looking at making a trip over from the west side with my son and we just have a drift boat with electric motor and droppers. Is there any where close to the boat launches to catch them?

I've been to that lake. Pretty cool alpine lake. I'm from Wisconsin and I'm curious if it freezes over and if so when does the ice go out? I see this was March, I see zero snow. You wanna catch some bigs ones try that rig on lake Superior!

To much water coming in and going out to freeze hard. I’m sure this lake has froze in some places but not enough to get out there.

On your corn recipe. Could you just use the tuna in water so you don't have to separate the oil? Or is there a reason to use the tuna in oil?

Oil has a way of sticking like glue to the corn. Water based will not

I love it. Only flaw is the zipper handle. Zipper works fine but the handle was weak. A couple zip ties and black tape and it works great now. It cleans up really nice and keeps ice surprisingly well. Thanks for the kind words Levi.
