KOKANEE FISHING ROCKPORT RESERVOIR JUNE 16&17, 2023

We head to our hometown to find some Kokanee at a newly stocked reservoir. We did find some kokanee and lots of rainbows. I have high hopes for this new kokanee fishery. I think Rockport will support good numbers of kokanee in the 12"-18" in the near future. We caught the kokanee 10-15ft down in 35-90ft of water. Mini squids & spinners worked extremely well. I used to fish lost creek alot ,it was. Awsome the first year 20 to 21 rainbows and cuts the next year it was junk ,them fish were gone last year ,i went to mayby relive some memories of my dad and good times ,caught my 3 rainbows all under 12 inch and on the way to the boat dock i got a hook in a 10 inch koke ,since then i refer to these put n takers as utah trophys😁😎

Sorry, I have a crappie sense of humor. As I prefer other fish species for consuming, I don't mind a rainbow once in a while. All fish are fun to catch.

Kokanee are silver with a black back.
