KoKo’s Earth Control is one of the best of Fleischer’s silent-era cartoon shorts. The Fleischer cartoons were always imaginative and filled with hilarious ideas, but this may top them all. KoKo and Fitz find their way to the top of the world and enter a building that houses the “Control of Earth.” While KoKo plays with the controls for Rain, Day and Night, Fitz tempts fate and pulls a control handle that will destroy the planet. Soon, all hell breaks loose - not only in the cartoon world, but out of the inkwell itself: in the live-action real world. Manhattan is submerged, KoKo reverts to an ink puddle. Just another day at Fleischer Studios - a hilarious vision of the end of the world as we know it.

also a bit of criticism: audio on the other 3 shorts uploaded sound horribly compressed in spots. not sure if it's a film problem or a scan problem as it ain't my expertise. pretty bad on sinbad. feels like someone compressed the audio too much

That’s with the approval of ASIFA-HOLLYWOOD, UCLA, and the copyright holders, not Jerry. Sinbad’s poor audio probably comes from the fact it was restored from a positive with a Blue Track, which tend to be pretty muffled and compressed to begin with

@@SCMacPeter am aware of the issue with blue track, as i did hear it a bit on the new sunshine makers restoration. however, i feel that's different in comparison to what's going on with sinbad and the two other shorts. on sinbad around 2:13 & 5:42 you can hear the audio drop suddenly in quality. the quality is significantly different and sounds more like a bit-crushed upload of the short. 16:08 on raggedy ann & andy: andy is singing and suddenly it sounds like the audio quality was hit. shouldn't be dropping like that if i'm correct. seems to be a definite issue with either the way the video file was created, how youtube compressed it, or the scan itself. ain't an expert but something went wrong
