They pointed out something about their dancing I've noticed myself: they really aren't scared to look unflattering while dancing and it allows them to pop off more. Like there is a lot of great female dancers in kpop but whatever strange training they are given in Korea I feel like they are always forced to look graceful and pretty and in some cases that makes their dance performances look lackluster. There was this jpop group called E-girls (they disbanded now unfortunately) and they were from a company that focused on dancing and they would always slay so much even if their song amd choreo were on a cuter side and it amazed me so much, XG is giving the same energy. I really want to experience that with other kpop groups KOREA, LET THE WOMEN SLAY FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

@@one2712 yes Avex is related to LDH but only in music distribution part LDH has its own training agency(?) called EXPG and it has nothing to do with Avex Artists Academy BUT some dance teachers could be working for both 👀 cuz dancers usually get charged per lesson And S**t Kingz are one of the most popular dance troupe in Japan and they're under Avex They choreo for almost everyone lol

Have you watched the left right live stage yet? I feel like they really bring that song to life with the choreography and attitude. It’s a vibe and a half tbh. Also, I feel like Cece would love XG. Even if they are not playlist(able?) to her, I know she would love the performance aspect of the group. They do it A1, FLAWLESS~

I love how they really translate their lyrics into their choreography. That's something you don't see much with your average K-Pop groups. Usually, you get some kind of cutesy dance. The ladies of XG come in hard with their formations, transitions, and are a dream for any choreographer. What's even more insane is that these seven ladies have a ton of achievements and were selected from a group of 13,000 girls to become who they are today.

When you said they’re not afraid to look “ugly”, it reminded me of early Parris Goebel Request (Royal Family)days, when everyone said they were ugly because of their facials and power moves which they called Polyswag at the time. I am FEELING this song. As long time Tsunami Mob, imo it's giving latter day mixtape Kehlani (some of the "While We Wait" tracks). I know it’s hard when you do so many reactions… but cocona doesn’t get as much center or front focal time in their music which is such a waste bc she’s one of their most dynamic dancers and her charisma and dance is on another level. I don’t get why she’s always in the back way off to the side . I feel as though girl groups would hard hitting concepts would love to be able to be raw and ugly as you put it in some of their work like the boys are allowed to be but because they're in a GG they are forced to be more polished vs with guy groups where they are encouraged to be more rough and tough or ugly vs soft. Like it shouldn't matter but sadly it does. Because a girl group being ugly with their dancing and giving stank face would hit.
