It's astonishing to hear the seamless switch between their natural voices and their character voices. Both of them are amazing but Koko really stands out for sounding amazingly different when she's playing Fujiwara. It reveals a bit about the characters to hear Aka's interpretation of how they'd answer the question. Kaguya openly repudiating her own strategy (one of many instances where Shirogane or Kaguya admit that the way they're doing things is wrong, but they just can't help themselves) while Fujiwara shows her cleverness. Is this the first time we've seen one of the guys on the show? Hopefully we can hear more from Shirogane's VA, he's a riot.

It's really lovely that Koga Aoi can switch voices from a kid to mature and on the other hand, Kohara Konomi can go from mature to kid voice. Her normal voice is actually mature.

Many many male VA didn't need to change their voice to became a character.. takes Sugita who voiced Gintoki in Gintama, or Matsuoka Kirito in SAO, or YukiKaji Eren in Shingeki no Kyojin.. big character but voiced with natural voice

It's not like they can't change their voices though as Sugita has proven he can and wants to change and play around with it at times. But often the directors just tell him to be more like himself.

It's interesting, this is essentially the voice actors "sight reading" their parts, cold, from a script they've never seen before. From the videos about seiyuu and how they do their work, I would've thought they needed time to study the script to deliver the polish that you would see in the aired show. But unless they studied this script beforehand, I'm not sure what I'm missing...
