Another excellent video and review of this USA built workhorse. The Kolar has a very strong following here in US with skeet, sporting, and trap shooters alike. I owned/shot one for a short time, and enjoyed it very much. Kolar now has the rounded bottom design on their current production models which tend to give it more of a appealing look rather then the square bottom its always worn. Tough guns for sure- and extremely well made. You can see it incorporated some design similarities from K-80, and Perazzi, and then some unlike any others. Thanks for sharing. Your reviews are really helpful, but it would have been interesting to see you take this to the range to run some shells through it. Super job sir !!!! Well done !!!

Great review of a lovely gun. They are excellent guns and until now I never fully understood why they are not more prominent in the UK. But as you have explained they are not a mass market manufacturer and the US market is big enough for their “quality”, output.

Merica! 😆 I never thought I'd see this piece of American pride in the UK especially in that spec. Yes, they are very popular in the US and in high demand. They truly are 'tanks' and are classically (US) overly engineered but maybe that is what you should expect from a legacy gun. A lot of the early guns were not as esthetically pleasing as some of the current models. I would invite viewers not familiar with Kolar to check out their website to see what they are truly capable of. I hope it's new owner will enjoy many rounds of NSSA skeet with it. Who knows, this gun may start a UK trend toward NSSA skeet as God intended! 🤣🤣(kidding) As always, a very enjoyable video and please keep them coming.

Thanks for the great content, as always. Couple of notes, and hate to be that guy... The black plastic tool you said is for seating the tubes is not for that purpose, but is actually a knock out tool for removing the tubes. In another shot, you actually showed the seating tool with other equipment. The most important things on the carrier barrel are the pins which don't allow you to close the gun with 12ga shells in it. There are notches in the tubes which align with the pins, so they can be seated in the barrels. One of the reasons why Kolars are so strong and heavy is because it's the only shotgun with a receiver which is fully milled from a single billet of steel.

It has been a number of years since I encountered a tube set and have clearly forgotten exactly how everything works. I knew that there was a tool for putting the tubes in and one for taking them out but that is about it in terms of my memory😂. Thank you for sharing, kind regards Matthew

Kolars are awsome gun. I've owned 3 of them. Love them all. One of my favorite things about them is the sound of the gun closing, It sounds like back valt. There is absulotly no recoil with 1 oz shells and a little bit with 1 1/8s. they are heavy and overboard.

Like it, well apart from the forestock looking oversized and uncomfortable. Be nice to know how it feels to shoot. Did I understand that you can't use normal ammo in it? what is the difference between a kinetic hammer and a hammer?

I have a Kolar Max Skeet with a carrier barrel and tubes. The forends are VERY natural feeling in the hands. Not bulky, at all. You can shoot any 2 3/4 inch load through it. Their newer guns don't have the "only factory loads" disclaimer (mine is from 2024), but it's probably there for liability purposes because Americans do a lot of reloading and stupid/crazy stuff.
