So glad that you put a video out on this. Blaser makes some awesome stuff but they don't get much attention. The modularity of their platforms is such a huge bonus to the incredible engineering that they put into their guns

What a beautiful video demonstrating a core German point of pride! I love the interchangeable barrels to different gauges (do any other brand do this well even?), I love the stock making, and I love their desire to be better. I love their try gun doesn't look 100 years old and seems to be pinpoint accurate (Holland and Holland should learn from this!), and that you'll get something really wonderful! Their factory is beautiful! I admire a really clean and modern factory, although part of me feels a dirty old workbench from a person who's worked as a gunsmith for 50 years is also beautiful!

I just bought a Blaser F3 this year and love it so far. This new FBX is on my radar for sure, depending on the retail price here in Canada it will take some saving up to do ;-)

Great video Jonny, been waiting for the Blaser video for a while and you didn’t disappoint. Excited to hear that there is a certain amount of f3 and fbx interchangeable barrels. Can’t wait to see a f3 to fbx comparison video. As always keep up the great work and content. Cheers mate.

Fantastic video show casing an incredible gun making shop. When I aspired to be a better shot gunner the best advice I received was “practice and then practice more”, Good advice. After I became a capable shot gunner came decades of trying to find the best fitting gun for me. If I had it to do again, I would get fitted by a Blaser dealer and purchase one of these and never look back. Sure the quest to find the perfect shotgun is part of the hobby and sport and It’s a game after all. When I consider the cost of buying and selling many guns it would have been much more advantageous to start with a fitted , quality shotgun and then spend the remaining time practicing. It sure looks like Blaser is the state of the art and will be for a very long time. I’m definitely anxious to handle one of these beauties.

Fantastic. People always seem to want to go the kreighoff, perazzi, beretta way when upgrading to a competition gun without giving blaser much thought. I own a f3 and wouldn’t swap it for anything. Hopefully after watching this people realise just how good these guns are. Thanks for the video

A beautiful piece of "kit" as they say in jolly ol' England! Can't wait to see how they feel in hand. I've handled a few F3 and F16 Blasers and while they're "nice", they didn't feel awesome to me. I would imagine the mechanics of any Blaser is beyond reproach. I'm glad that it is not priced at $22,000 like the new Beretta SL2!

Blaser fanboy here. I have 2 LH F3 Super Sports which are 8 lbs +. This (beautiful) gun weighs in at over 9 lbs! That is a lot of weight to shoot 100+ clays. Any gun with this much mass should have less recoil, outstanding German engineering not-with-standing- but in my humble opinion, less recoil is not the goal. It is the point-ability, swing-ability and most importantly the feeling of solidity when the firing pin strikes the shell that makes a gun truly great. My F3’s have all that…but so do other guns.

I hear what you are talking about with technology. The high end manufacturers are the ones that innovate and then it trickles down. I remember when chrome lined barrels were only on expensive shotguns. Now your basic budget Savage 555 has chrome lined barrels.

Pretty sweet! Personally I’m surprised competition shotguns haven’t evolved into pistol grip straight stocked tube guns to mitigate recoil. Not that I’d want one. I’m still an old soul and prefer my shotguns to be older than me. Simple elegance and fine craftsmanship. That would change if I could shoot as much as I’d like to however so I can also appreciate the comp guns! 👍🏼👍🏼

I've been saying for a long time that Blaser F3 is the most underrated high-end shotgun. Never thought about getting me one of those, though... Well... I think the time has cime to demo an F3X. (And try that custom stock thing they offer! I think that's such a smart implemented Idea. My only concern would be the grip - but probably the process includes hand measurement too...)

The technology is fascinating and I love the way you can just swap barrels, but a lack of the Italian passion is evident, a more clinical production gun with amazing features all to have a bite at the ankles of the DT11 dlc and the SL2. Hats off to you Jonny ! Fine job 😎👍

Jonny, what's the little notch for on the underside of the action (above where Blaser would be etched)? I note other manufacturers have this, is this weight/balance reduction or does it actually have a functional purpose? Loving the work as always, beats so many prime time shows on TV!

at the price point, it compares to the DT-11. Does it perform better? That is a subjective question but.... Beretta is very experienced in producing great performing shotguns.

Will they do an english style stock if I want it?
@windym709Күн бұрын
That stock you are shooting is not the same one that was your pattern stock shown at 22.06, it had an obvious fault line on the left of the pattern stock, the test gun didn’t have that fault and was better figured!
@bgjb-r1499Күн бұрын
Beautiful gun. However, I respectfully disagree that overall weight doesn’t matter. Of course center balance helps but overall weight matters too. As the shooting population ages (like me) I see more and more carrier barrels and guns weighing 9lbs including tubes.
