If you're going to compare New Town to Bombay then you should compare with Navi Mumbai not the main Bombay cause New Town is seperate and new from the Calcutta.

No my dear Go and check new parts of Mumbai Navi Mumbai has ranked the 3rd cleanest city in India,and it comes as better than Newtown ,bcoz it is surrounded by hills and lush greenery,and it is as developed as Newtown or Salt lake etc.
