I lived in kolkata for almost 2 years and my heart is still there. The people are very kind and warm towards other Indians unlike other parts in India, the places are beautiful, traffic is organized, you can live within your budget be it low or high, begali food, street food, markets you get anything at very minimal cost, monuments, rivers, oceans, beautiful city places. The city lights up so beautifully during Durga puja and Christmas as well. Only downside is during summer it gets really hot which lasts hardly 3 4 months and then the rain calms down everything. It still has village areas, farm lands, beautiful lakes and forests which I was lucky to experience. But mostly the people of kolkata has a smile on their faces and that is rare in metro cities. Thank you for the experience Kolkata ❤. Love from Assam ❤.

Kolkata has given of 3 Nobel Laurates to the country and countless other intellectuals in different fields (google yourself), and by the way, I am not from WB. I live in Bengaluru for decades. It is now a 100 percentage concrete jungle. Now there is no water also. Plus hatred towards orher Indians is on rise. I had visited Calcutta, Tribeni and Bendal many decades back.
