Kolkata to Vizag: A Memorable Road Trip !
VIZAG is a beautiful port city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh , on the Bay of Bengal . The city is known for its many mesmerizing beaches . Recently we were on a road trip to Vizag from Kolkata for 5 days , it was awesome . Here is the episode -1 of the Vizag series where I have tried to show the road journey from Kolkata to Vizag . P.S -It took around 23 hrs to reach Vizag ( 935 kms from my home , 875 kms from Kolkata ) as we visited & spend lot of time on so many places around on the way , but while returning it took approx 17 hrs to cover the distance in decent manner.

What should be ideal time to start from Kolkata for vizag? 4 aged person, 2 adults and 1 child would accompany.

@@talkinglogically As u have a plan to travel with aged person & child, I would suggest to take a night halt in between, avoid night drive, start early in the morning

Nicely covered.. road is bad in which all areas basically? Also as i checked petrol prices are much higher in odisha compared to Kolkata, but you said the other way around

First of all thanks 😊, road is not bad basically in those areas , I have mentioned, as the road extension work is going on so u will face a lot of diversion & speed breakers in between, not constantly, & the whole streach is from Kharagpur to Bhadrak , Specially around Jhalda n all . P.s - please recheck the petrol price , it's cheaper in Odisha compared to kolkata . Today petrol price in kolkata is 106.03. Today petrol price in Balasore is 103.39. Have a good day 😊

@@RakeshFrames hi.. i don't know why, but the diesel rates are other way round. It's lower in Kolkata compared to balasore(odisha). Any idea why?

@@jithinmjose5703 yes diesel price is lower in Kolkata than odisha. What I found because Odisha levies a uniform percent of VAT on both petrol & diesel , while other States have different VAT rates for petroleum products .
