My addiction has always been food. Which is why I have struggled with my weight all my life. I understand my relationship with food and overeating stems from childhood. I definitely had to come to grips with hey you ain’t a little girl no more and you gotta get yourself together.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. It’s so powerful that you’ve been able to reflect on your relationship with food and make those realizations about your past. Acknowledging where it stems from is such a big step toward healing. We’re rooting for you as you continue to work on yourself and grow.

Speaking of addictions. Because of addictions in my family I refused to insert anything in my nose because I thought it would make me open to snorting cocaine.

Thank you for sharing such a personal perspective. It’s powerful to hear how you’ve made intentional choices to protect yourself from addiction, especially given its impact on your family. This kind of self-awareness and boundary-setting is so important. You are making transformative steps in breaking generational cycles!!!!

I take my friendships very serious so only a few people can actually say we friends.

I honor your friendship values. I take all my interactions seriously and prioritize respect and loyalty… you’re either in my life as a friend or a casualty. I make meaningful connections without limiting the number of people I call friends but my truth is I tend to remove labels when describing people, which is why I may have more ‘friends’ than most. My mother, although no longer with us, is also my friend - my best friend. 💜
