One of our most memorable concerts where Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty ji performed for Komal Nishad on 30th March 2003. After Vilambit lay in Yaman, Panditji went on to perform several bandishes in Yaman in various taals. Being the maestro that he is, the concert was so memorable, that the audience who attended this concert still have that evening etched in their memory.

When we were finalizing the order in which we wanted to release the videos, Jha Saheb insisted that we start work on editing this video and releasing it ASAP, because among all the concerts that Komal Nishad has ever had, this concert stands out very distinctly in the memory of many of the guests who were there at the concert. The way , how he draws the picture of bandish by using swars, is such a precious lesson to us ❤️🙏 His eyes recognise swaras as they were floating around us 🙏🙏 he makes an unbreakable connection to ragaas that can be felt by us and his prayers through singing certainly reach to the God , that's why he touches everybody's souls ..... Kinare kinare dariya bandish is in drut ekvai taal...

Yes, we know that. It is a bandish composed by Tanras Khan Saheb of Delhi Gharana. There is one more uniqueness about this Bandish that सम comes at “kinare” and “Dariya” both. It’s Antara is in Farsi.
