One of our most memorable concerts where Pandit Ajay Chakraborty ji performed for Komal Nishad on 30th March 2003. After Vilambit lay in Yaman, Panditji went on to perform several bandishes in Yaman in various taals. Being the maestro that he is, the concert was so memorable, that the audience who attended this concert still have that evening etched in their memory.

I heard Panditji's Raag Megh in Spic Macay's festival in IIT Kharagpur in 2018 at 3 am. It was just out of this world.

I am very fortunate that I could attend this concert. It was organised by Komal Nishad in music college of M.S.University. It was really one of the best programmes I attended so far. Panditji performed many beautiful compositions so nicely that I can never forget. My pranam to Pandit ji 🙏🙏

Normally we keep a slide for accompanying artists particulars. Really don't know how it slipped. Pt Subasish Bhattacharya was on tabla and Pt Ajay Joglekhar was on harmonium.

A big thank you for the upload. Just one small submission - isn't it better to upload a concert in chronological order. In this case, I understand this is the second part. Now we eagerly waiting look forward to the first part. In some instances various parts have been uploaded with a big time gap. If this may be avoided, listeners will find it easier to enjoy the full concert. Just a suggestion 😊

Hello Nirmalyaji, the first part of this concert had Bhimpalasi and Marva pre interval. Post interval it was Yaman. We uploaded the Yaman right now, because it was so beautiful, we didn't want to distract the audience. However, i totally understand what you are saying and the next parts of this concert will also be coming soon. Thank you for your suggestion and your keen interest in Komal Nishad.

One more thing Nirmalya ji, The way Pandit ji had rendered so many bandishes of Yaman in this concert , it is so so rare. I am yet to find any classical musician rendering 20 odd bandishes one after another in one raag. Pt. Ajay Chakraborty is simply a genius. What we have observed that if we put the entire concert in one go (we have started doing that only now), people listen to the first two raagas and then skip over thinking that they have heard the best. But this Yaman was so very special that we didn’t want music lovers to miss that. That is the reason we made exception in this case. You can call me too.
