It isn't an overstatement in making the observation that Dr. Skale is an incomparable combination of exceptional qualities, including rare insight, common sense, comprehensive practical knowledge, and uncommonly well grounded in her sense of self and ability to relate to others.

With Blue Stahli, it's like, back already? Yup. Thrilling times are ahead. You become so used to it that it becomes rhythmic like "False Alarm." You don't even have to try. I hate them, and I want out. I will never be able to get rid of them all unless I leave. Even still, I'll probably have to be the great enchantress, warper of the stars, to whom many have fallen. It puts anyone who wants to be a friend or family members at risk, too. And it's boring as hell.

can you please, please help me? My daughter Bianca is 24yrs old...prime time to develop schizophrenia. She has been displaying almost 99% of obvious signs of schizophrenia. The fear of being poisoniod, cameras planted in the house...fear of the mailman watching Bianca through the window while touching himself. We want to get her to a psychiatrist and we don't know what to do because she has unshakable beliefs that undercover cops are following and spying on the house. Her former boyfriend who was from Saudi Arabia is a famous sheik and TMZ came to his house to do a report on him. She called 911 because she felt someone poisoned her food..and she went to the energency room. How can we convince her to see a psychiatrist...she has been totally withdrawn and spending hours in end in bed just looking into space. I ferl so sad and want to get her to a doctor but she thinks nothing is wrong with her and wr are the ones against her

Can schizophrenia exist in a person who has "negative symptoms" most of the time, but then acts normal and full of energy whenever he's about to go to meet up/hang out with his friends??
@nickjohn20517 жыл бұрын
igspal No. The negative symptoms must be detrimental to the social life to be diagnose.

***** The most easy way to identify if someone has schizophrenia is "metaphorical proverb method" However this method is outdated. He/she use very concrete way to construct a sentence. He/she takes a very long time to understand metaphor or proverb in metaphorical way. Hmm its hard to explain. Try search Prof. Robert Sapolsy from Standford University lecture in youtube about schizophrenia. Navigate until he explain about metaphorical thinking. Then you will understand.

Hearing Humans speak about Schizophrenia is the down part while we need to practice knowing the Truth. Healthy living and eating the good seeds of Jesus is the cure that develops a Spiritual Mind plus heart. Why don't NAMI want to speak about the Bible that deals with Jesus who is God healing all sicknesses in health?
@EVOLr2 жыл бұрын
Because if they did talk about Jesus being our cure, they would go out of business.

As a Schizophrenic, I disagree entirely with the "illness" premise, schizophrenia is an operating system with different responses to trauma. Trauma really needs to be treated as an injury, not an illness. Also, the schizophrenic response to trauma is so drastically different to the bipolar response to trauma that they probably shouldn't be grouped together... They need very different treatment plans, even if stress management is the core of what is needed. Also, can we just admit that america is just a terribly stressful country to exist within? Make mental support structures into something that is just assumed needed for everyone?

Why does everybody beat around the bush and try to avoid mentioning the Id (the subconscious mind) as the culprit of the strange voices? I would advise everybody to give the author of the voice that is causing "brain chatter," a specific name (John, for example), and to instruct John to say hello, self-introduce ("Hello fellow Ids, I am John, the talkative Id. Excuse me for being so loud.") and try to socialize with other people's Ids within hearing distance. This should distract and quieten down John for a while, and at the same time, the local Id community should recognize John as a problem and try to help out by teaching John some badly needed social skills. In any case, a talkative Id such as John will always be a strange newcomer in a group of people, and must learn to say hello to the surrounding, fellow Ids. I think this group phenomenon was first mentioned by Carl Jung as the "collective subconscious."

The "id " is part of Freud's theory of the personality. It is not a "thing", just an unproven theory.

Well, sometimes I think the devil feels sympathy for me. I know not to ever think I've been wronged, but a lot of the schizophrenics are singing, "Bang Bang Bang" by Tracy Chapman. We're been so tortured by others and society that our brains are gone. They did some weird edits and death attempts to put me back into society. Now I have no filter and no power as usual. They really need to do psychological evaluations on disabled kids, not to give them more medicine but to make sure they aren't being abused. by people. The Powerless People need some way to escape the predators. Once you get a label, it is often abused. We lose all rights and every door shuts. Therefore, disabled people should get automatic entry into community colleges like foster kids. There was a very thin chance I was going to work and have a normal life. I can't win. No, living in the community is a good way to attract people like Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, our epitomes of good agents. Our peers mostly hate us anyway. I'd like a life beyond Mortal Kombat. It puts everyone around me at risk. I was going to kill myself until they wanted me to do it next to their glory.
