55 seconds for a three pass load out. Very nice. In 1986 I had a PC-1000 loading tri-axles (18c.y.to spill) in my quarry (sandy clay I-5 spec). We were running 500 trucks in 8 hours. The operator had time to clean his windshield!

I operated a 5130B Cat back in the early 2000s that was a beast! 4 passes would fill a 777 with a 14 or 15 cu.yd. bucket! This looks close to the size of that machine!!

The 5130 is around 180t and the PC3000 ranges from 231t-260t, just a little bit bigger

Do the off highway trucks have a scale tied into the dump so they know when they are fully loaded? Or is the excavator guy hitting the horn to let the truck know that he is finished loading him? I've seem some videos where it looks like there is a led plaque on the side of the truck that tells the approximate load so I'm curious how that system works.

Are you sure the plaque you are seeing is a scale? Not being smart usually that number on the haul trucks or other pieces of equipment are displaying the unit number. Typically highway trucks are the only trucks that have a restricted weight due to highway laws.

@@dozingnsloping6814 Yeah because the numbers changed as the truck was being loaded. I thought it was odd as well, however the other day when looking at, I believe Komatsu brochure, I saw that they have some kind of scales to let them know how much time full versus empty and how much they are hauling for management. Not sure if it tells the driver or not. That's why I was curious seems odd but I can also see how operators may overload a truck and then that cause longevity issues.

I've operated the PC2000, PC3000 and the PC4000 in a production role and surprisingly the 4000 was the quickest of the 3 and the 2000 was the slowest of the 3. I don't mean in terms of how much they move but how quickly the machines move function wise.

That doesn't surprise me. The PC2000 is designed as a "eco-friendly" machine with twin compound pumps. The PC3000 is a more of a mining class machine, but it still utilizes the same 3-pump hydraulic system as on the H185S. There is very little technology in the PC3000 because it's actually the least popular in Komatsus product line. Now on the other hand, the PC4000 is Komatsus best seller. That model gets all the latest perks before other models in the line.
