You're very misinformed. For kombucha to be legally sold it has to have less than .5% alcohol, very negligible. As far as the sugar is concerned. The majority sugar is converted into alcohol and ethanol (omg alcohol!!??). Then the alcohol and ethanol are converted to into organic acid chains (yes raw vinegar) including; Glucuronic acid, gluconic acid, butyric acid, usnic acid etc. If you don't know anything about the usefulness of these acids in your body I suggest you do some real research. Not to mention the vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant profile of the tea you're using to brew with, especially if the tea is cold steeped. Also, research in the connection between gut health and mental health has been growing immensely in recent years with promising results. This guy is full of shit. Drinking Kombucha is like drinking Braggs apple cider vinegar with the added benefit of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from the tea. And seriously, an alcoholic flavored beverage soda? You sound so informed when you talk like that. You're a sad human.

I partially agree. I make cambucha at home with clean, filtered water and organic tea and suger, and its amazing. The alcohol level can reach .5 - .7. But who cares? Alcohol in these small amounts has no negative effect. When it comes to mass produced kambucha, I have tried quite a few, and there is some that is OK. But I say, why NOT make it yourself? Its easy and fun.

I found a brand of Kombucha tea beverage at a local market. It was sold out of a non-alcoholic beverage cooler and the bottle it self had no statement as having alcohol in it. But I did find the texture, smell, flavor like a beer. So, what do you think about these type of varients? It seems like most of the negative opinion about Kombucha relates to allergic reaction (for those who are allergic to the Kombucha), and/or due to alcohol content (...for certain type of Kombucha beverage).

@The Raw Life Health Show , Merely stating that something is bad for you is not going to persuade many people at all; you need to provide factual evidence or at the least references to independent studies backing up your claims. From the video above it appears you simply do not like it, therefore you do not believe in it's claimed benefits, which millions of people have supported (some for over 2,200 years).
